So I have a tatula 100, haven’t used yet so I’m not sure how it will cast light lures so if you have input on that it would be great. I need a reel that can cast down to 1/4 an ounce well. I’ve been looking at shimano slx mgl and curado mgl to get as well, but I’ve heard a few people on here mention digitaka. What reels on there would you recommend? Seems like good deals So basically if you think the tatula can then I just need one to use for all purpose edit: just need a all around good reel for medium weight lures or just all. Looking at the scorpion mgl and curado mgl and curado k right now. But I’ve also considered dc options like the slx dc. What do you guys recommend? Would a dc feel be better? Or I could get another Daiwa like the 150

If I’m only going to cast down to 1/4 could I just get a slx mgl 150 size?

100 over sv then? I found a 100 for 100 shipped and a sv for 135. Both new. I have small hands and I will not be throwing many heavy lures so I feel like I should be fine with a 100 unless you can find me a 150 for a good price. Basically just has the bigger frame and aluminum side plate?

Thanks for your input. I think I am going to go with the sv or 100 whichever I find for a good price. Because I already have a tatula 80 and a lews lfs. So I do want the ability to cast light and the sv spool seems like it is worth it if I can find one for a good deal. Already ditched the 8 speed and might honestly get a 6 because my others are 7s

Are there any still on a. Good sale like that? Not looking to pay all that much and there’s not many for good prices on eBay. Or if not, would you choose a 150 over 100 to keep it cheaper even though I’m not throwing heavy lures? How heavy can the sv still cast good? With an 8 would I still be able to use most lures? Or would it be too fast

Ok I’ll cancel for a 7 then. I was thinking 8 was too fast for most applications. Should I look to twtula 100, 150, ct, or sv?

Interesting. I mean it’s not my only reel I have a tatula 80, lews lfs, older cheap abu garcia for my braid and then the slx. So you think I should go for a bigger reel? Even the 103 one? Maybe I will get 150 then, my current reels are tatula 80, lews lfs, an abu Garcia and the slx xt. Maybe the 150 would be better so I can throw my bigger lures, that’s what I currently use the lfs for

Why 150 over 100

So I have an slx xt that’s geary that I could get repaired, but I could also just sell that reel and buy a tatula(not sure which model, would be up to recommendations), or I could get a curado. Does anyone have suggestions to which I should get? Would be looking for mainly all purpose use since I do not have many super technique specific combos and I am still new. I am leaning towards a tatula right now because I had trouble with my shimano.

so I’m pretty limited in store, I do have academy and sportsman’s warehouse nearby but I mean both don’t have much stock on them. Neither have the exact rods I want to feel. What dobyns rod would you recommend specifically? The Kaden series? I’m trying to stay under 200.

I have a Daiwa tatula 80 to go with whatever rod I get I have the tatula 80 already, same rod? I was thinking about medium light but I feel like I might need more power on my rod for hooksets

I'm looking for a rod to throw my small to medium crank baits, I can't decide if I need a medium moderate or medium moderate fast or even a medium heavy. And I cannot decide on rod material because I've heard mixed opinions.

How much do you charge for a cleaning and fixing whatever i would need for my reel?
