  1. Yeah I wanted to try that one but they are all back ordered on tackle warehouse. Yeah I might just go with that. I felt it in store and it did feel stout but a little lighter in power than the medium.
  2. But what about for around cover? I was looking at Daiwa, Shimano, falcon, and cashion rods. But I’m fine with any. I was going to get the tatula xt but I heard the m/f was like a broomstick.
  3. Hey guys, I am just wondering what rods you guys use to throw flukes 4-5” and senkos that are 5-6”. I like to throw them on casting gear and was looking at getting a 6’10-7 medium power rod for them. Right now I am using a 7’1 heavy dobyns, but I think something lighter in power may be better. I fish them in open water and around wood/brush. Thank you in advance, Bryce
  4. Sorry it’s not letting me add pictures. It says the file is too big
  5. No im not looking to spend that kind of money. I will look into those thank you.
  6. Yeah it’s going on a lews custom lite previous gen I got on sale last year. I’ll post pics when I get it.
  7. Hey everyone, Now that I have moved to mainly fishing in the local lakes/reservoirs around me, I feel like it may be beneficial to add some sort of fish finder and a trolling motor. I started on smaller bodies of water, but now that I have moved to bigger bodies of water(ex 400 acre lake) I feel like this may help me catch more. My current kayak is a 10 foot ascend fishing kayak. I have been catching some fish, but I see people having incredible days where I fish who have boats with electronics and trolling motors. Two of the lakes I fish are clear water where fish relate to deeper structure and brush or bait. These places are electric only btw. My question is whether adding electronics and a trolling motor will help me catch more fish and be more efficient or will they just be another piece of kayak fishing making it more difficult. Additionally, how much will electronics such as a fish finder cost all in. I have no experience on fishing boats except for one trip on a Jon boat. I appreciate everything, Bryce
  8. Yeah I’ve heard good things about the nasci but I ended up getting the new ultregra fd
  9. That’s super cool. I actually have a rod from a similar time frame that was handed down to me.
  10. Ok I’ll go for the smaller size. Do you think the hugane body of the stradic matters that much more for durability over the ci4+ in the Ultegra?
  11. Would you go with the c2500shg or the regular 2500shg? The c version seems to be smaller and lighter with a smaller handle, but will the smaller spool that it has reduce casting distance?
  12. I think I’m going to get the ultegra c2500shg. Should hold the perfect amount for 10-15 pound braid and be a little cheaper than a stradic. Haven’t heard about issues with the ci4+ frame
  13. What shallow spool reels do you have and how much 10 pound braid can you get on them? Originally I was looking at the miravel 200s but it’s only listed at 105 for 4 pound power pro I believe. Maybe it’s saying 4 pound equivalent diameter?
  14. You think a shallow will hold enough line though?
  15. I was looking at the mq. So you would go with a miravel over a Ultegra? Because for a ci4+ body, the miravel is only 10 grams lighter in the 2500 size. And the ultegra 25 is brand new.
  16. I have the 2500 us version though. It is definitely bigger than my fuego was.
  17. Wow that’s impressive for $40. You really think they compare to a 100 dollar reel? Yeah I’m not sure what happened with my fuego to be honest.
  18. Hey guys, I am looking for a spinning reel around 100-125 to replace my diawa fuego. It’s going to be on my medium light for finesse bass stuff. My fuego that I had was not smooth anymore and Made a noise on the retrieve so I sold it. I want something that will last and is relatively light and small. I like my stradic now but wouldn’t want anything heavier. I was looking at the miravel 2500 and the Daiwa Procyon on sale for 110. Thanks in advance, Bryce
  19. Ok I saw the power pro like capacities. I will just go for a 2500. I wanted something slightly smaller than my 2500 stradic. But isn’t it weird that Shimano is saying power pro has the same diameter as mono then?
  20. Longer casts than that and heavier weights. So I guess I need the regular 2500 then. Just thought I could save a little weight with the 2000 size.
  21. I was actually going to get the 2000shg. But maybe I should go with a 2500s
  22. Hey I know this is an old post but I’m trying to figure out if the 2000s will hold enough 10 lb braid for bass fishing. How much did yours hold with the braid you used?
  23. Ok thanks. What weight do you use?
  24. Hey guys, I can’t decide if I should get a new swimbait and jig head for the lake I plan on going to tomorrow. It’s generally a finesse lake, with clearer water about 5 ft visibility. It’s deep, but being on a kayak with no electronics I tend to fish shallow still. Would a 1/4 ounce jig head be too heavy for a finesse swimbait setup? I know I have some green pumpkin keitechs in 3.75 at my house, but I wanted something small especially because I’ve seen many small baitfish there. Would a 1/8 ounce and a 2.75 inch be better? Also, you guys can recommend the jig heads/ plastics you like. Thanks in advance, Bryce
