Resident - Each resident of the State of Mississippi ages sixteen (16) to sixty-four (64), fishing in the fresh or marine waters of Mississippi, including lakes and reservoirs but NOT to include privately owned ponds and streams, shall be required to buy a fishing license. A saltwater license is required south of U. S. Highway 90 and a freshwater or saltwater license is valid between I-10 and U. S. Highway 90. Saltwater license is not valid north of I-10. Any person sixty-five (65) or older, or any person otherwise exempted from obtaining a fishing license, must have documentation with him/her at all times while fishing as described in Exemptions [MS. Code 49-7-9]. However, Effective July 1, 2010, residents sixty-five (65) years of age or older are required to purchase a saltwater fishing license if fishing South of U.S. Highway 90. The Senior Saltwater License is a lifetime privilege.

  9. My mileage...never spent 100 dollars on a rod...money no issue...do lots of worm fishing sometimes use tungsten weights and feel it good...knowing where the fish are...far more important...

  11. My mileage: when I need a bite to get a fish in the boat, I have confidence the Zoom Watermelon Red is my best shot. I watch the Pros on the cable Outdoor channel who are always talking about what they have confidence in...of course for that day and body of water...

  14. Depends on the snake. I'm no fan of poisonous snakes. Nor invasive species such as pythons. Fla. Everglades are in a panic stage with them. That being said. My mother was raised on a farm and the King snake was the best friend in the barn and other locales on the farm. They were treated like pets.

  16. Have seen what they can do on small bodies of water in TX. They do damage to the fish. What about small bass? I've seen small bass caught and eaten by them. What about the bluegill? Same. Can ruin a spawn. 3 & 5 acre ponds wiped out and bigger. Private landowners once got relief from TPWD. No longer. Many have taken action on their own...

  20. Bass can be found in shallow water in the summer. George Cochran made a million doing so...Not a wiggle wart but close and caught me a few all in the hot hot summer in shallow water...Mann's Minus 1
