Don't target Blue Gills. Target Crappie on occasion. Bull Bream will hit plastics from Bobby Garland's Panfish kit. Like Rebel Critter baits and soft plastics also sold in kits. Mule Plastics especially the Donkey Tails. Amazon you can find soft plastics as I did Houderrong, never heard of them, yet to use them but they look good and paid less than 10 dollars for 50 of them. Hang ups? Going to get them with micro cranks. To save money check out Creme's hard micro lures and Wal Mart's Ozark Trails. Cheap and they perform just as good. The hook I use is the Gamakatsu #1 Worm, Straight Shank, Light Wire. Floats: Heddon Teeny Wee Torpedo and Tiny Spook both 1/8oz and float. Try to fish with a tight line, the bass can inhale it if not. And Rebel Critter baits and others float at the top. Can be twitched. Yellow Grasshopper is a lot of fun. Good Fishing

Lived in Cypress TX and the public access to fishing, good fishing, spots were plentiful, too. Fished a lot of flood retention small lakes and ponds. The County public ponds supported by the Texas Parks and Wildlife were surprisingly good fishing. Pull off the interstate and fish under the overpass had more pleasant surprises. The Heddon Moss Boss 1/4oz and 3/8oz is not considered a true wake bait. I get it. But casting it in wooded areas and close to the bank you're fishing, a steady slow retrieve does create a small wake if you want it to. Mostly small waters. Good Fishing
