  1. What the hell??? If this applies to fishing reels, that's ridiculous.
  2. Any idea what the tariff is on aluminum coming out of Canada?
  3. What are those massive tariffs that some of you get? Is it some kind of an additional tariff on aluminum, or something?
  4. From Canada, so no lol. Normally, we pay 15% in custom duties, but when shipped with Japan Post, customs end up being like 6%, so it's great🙂
  5. Saw a new 24 Tat for $64 a few days ago, and didn't grab it, but should have, just to do an in depth comparison against the zillion for a whole season.
  6. The worst bait in over 20 years of fishing is something i purchased last year. The Freedom Mischief Minnow. I can't believe this garbage made to market. It's so bad that i'd prefer using a Googan rod, Googan reel, and Googan line, over fishing with that Mischief Minnow.
  7. St Lawrence river from the bank is👍for slab smllies.
  8. I'd be sneaking in all of them. There's one private pond i fish since around 2004-2005🤣
  9. As it was already mentioned before, investing into a bottle of MendIt is a must when using keitechs or any other plastics full of salt.
  10. Y'all are so lucky in the US having ponds on every corner, full of largies. Here in Canada, when you find one, if you're very lucky, it might have some crapies and 6" catfish🤢Canada really did drop the ball on this.
  11. Meh, i don't have that many hot places for one near me. And it's so much work loading and unloading one.
  12. Really? I have a hard time believing this unless you don't care about fishing that much, and are only doing it to waste time. Spots from the bank can be amazing, and not because of the quantity of fish you can catch, but the scenery.
  13. I fish from the bank almost exclusively for the last 10 years.
  14. Instead of grabbing those noname brands from Ali, i'd grab a quality Made in Japan reel in used condition. For $300 you can get a very good reel if you're purchasing from Japan. If you want to spend as little as possible, get the new Tatula 100. But if you're ordering from Japan, you can get a Zillion HD sub $300, and this is the best reel you can buy, it has it all.
  15. Nope. I sell my rods and reels when i am tired of using them. Pretty much the only reason i sell em.
  16. Excluding lures, i got a really clean 2011 calcutta 100 DC, a NOS limited edition LIVRE handle from like 10 years ago, and cerakoted one reel that i still haven't assembled yet.
  17. There are multiple 4pc rods that interest me in this lineup, especially the F9-711LV 4P Megalathan. Glad they're taking 4pc rods more seriously, they're so practical compared to the rest.
  18. Have the 2011 Conquest DC in the 100 size. Owned the same reel in the 50 size, and can say the 50 size was noticeably comfier to palm.
  19. Its crazy the amount of models they're launching. If this is indeed $200, this will be the most dominant line of rods on the market.
  20. Not to be a party pooper, but i remember buying one of these cuz i was tired of using the og ryoga. After a single day of use, i sold the D. It felt so much worse at everything i was kinda surprised myself.
  21. You can also remove the skirt, and replace it by a creature bait with a slim profile or a swimbait. Will cut through air way easier, and cast further.
  22. You gotta take into account that i don't use any SV or SV boost spools, though. The main spool i use on my Zil is the SLP WORKS1010, with multiple Type R and R+ spools, the RCS1016, etc. So the performance i get from it is never stock.
  23. Reel doesn't matter, buzzbaits aren't long casting lures. Just grab what's comfy to palm, that's all that matters. I use the 24 Met DC and the 21 Zillion for buzzbaits a bunch, and both are perfect at the job.
