How do you fish river channel bends in Florida?
Hmmm. Have to be more specific. Which river?? South, central and north Florida are very different.

Do you generally find Daiwa’s reels to be of inferior craftsmanship when compared to Shimano?
I have shimano and daiwa baitcasters 20 to 25 years old. It's all about maintenance. Also have new models of both and learned to open them up and check the factory lube. Both brands were pretty dry so they got attention! As for the Fuego spinner, I have A 2500 that is great! I will say, I don't turn the handle to close the bail arm. Causes stress and wear to the internal parts.

I turned to the dark side.
Not the dark side, the FUN side. Catching with light tackle is a challenge that I enjoy! Florida LMB and Peacocks. Reminds me of those who fish for Tarpon with flyrods!

HELP - Shimano Curado K making noise!

What's your favorite part?
I like the whole aspect of fishing! For the last year I've been doing a lot of bfs fishing. Lightest rod is ML and best LMB so far was 8 lbs. What FUN!!! The rod nearly doubled over, drag screaming, where are those blood pressure pills!! Lol 😅

Whats Up With Senkos?
Been using them forever it seems!! Two rods set up for them, ML bfs and a MH falcon cara. Used many different brands but now I just use Tiki sticks or Gambler. If the bass are snoozin', a drop or two of Anise oil wakes them! 😃

Fluoro Leader Length?
I do 15 lb flour leader to braid, spinning or casting about 7 feet. I tie the Alberto, it hasn't failed yet. I do not allow the knot to go on the reel. But what I do is apply a micro drop of superglue and use accelerator. It forms a thin skin of plastic on the knot and easily slides through the guides. Learned this from Roland Martin!

Hello from South Florida
Thanks all for the welcomes! I'm in Boynton Beach, Palm Beach County, about 2 miles from the ocean. My house sits high so no worries about the rain. We got about 7-8 inches so far. Still raining and tomorrow too. Changing out leaders lol

Hello from South Florida
Greetings to all! I've been reading a lot of the different forums here and figured best to join. Lot of great knowledge here! I want to thank Glenn for putting this together! I'm 67 years young, semi retired, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, moved here 1987, fishing since 9 yesterday old. Bent rods and tight lines to all!!
