  1. Years ago, I loved Bill Norman's Quarterback. These days I use the Bandit 100 Series or Strike Kings KVD Shallow Runner. I think some have already mentioned Cordell's Big O. Bandit 100
  2. Yeah, I've never used lipless cranks much. That may change tomorrow... I do use deep-divers.
  3. How about Texas Rig? I'm old fashioned I reckon. I still work plastic worms in the weeds and sometimes deeper water in winter. Pegged sometimes, sometimes not.
  4. I enjoy setting trotlines or limb-lines out on the rivers, hop in the jonboat a couple of times throughout the night to check them. We used to bait the lines with water dogs and catch big cats and monster alligator gar. Nothing like using buzzbaits at night and hearing a big bass exploding on the surface ambushing it.
  5. I get on "kicks". I'll have good luck using a certain type of lure and it'll inevitably be the first lure I tie on until I have good results using something else. However, I have those lures that will always be my faves...spinnerbaits, suspending jerkbaits, shallow water crankbaits. Fly fishing...hair's ear or pheasant tail nymph.

  7. Thank you, my friend. I appreciate that. Really enjoying the forum so far.
  8. I agree. For me, late 70's to late 80s'. Not only the innovations etc. (Bill Norman was coming out with some great lures), but I grew up watching all the great TV fishing host in their younger days (Dance, Houston, Martin, Parker). I idolized those guys as a kid. Learned so much.
  9. Probably 'coons. Sneaky, mischievous critters. I had some solar lights set up down on my pond... They come up missing. Found two lights down in the woods a few nights later. If it's food, they'll figure a way to steal it. 😆

  11. Thank you. I'm west of Hot Springs.
  12. Hello, friends. I'm 57 years old. Fished all my life. Bass, crappie, panfish, catfish, trout...anything that swims. Also love to fly fish and tie flies. Diagnosed with stage 3 cancer 5 months ago. Doing chemo, trying to fish when I feel strong enough.
