2024 G3 18’ CCJ year of ownership review
I had similar loading issues with my Crestliner with a 115/80 jet as well. I'm primarily fishing in the Susquehanna as well and the combination of the jet motor having very vague low speed steering and the current of the river makes it challenging to load. I put a set of 5 foot long bunk guide on's on my trailer to center the boat up as you load it,.

Buying a new rod (or 2) tomorrow, any help would be appreciated.
Just an FYI....St Croix has a retired Bass X 7'2" Medium Heavy Moderate for $60 on their website. I know you were asking about Lew's rods but it a great deal on a similar rod.

- Hello guys
- Susquehanna Smallmouth
There is a small park on the Marysville side that has good wading access. Just be careful as there are some huge rocks. You think you are walking on the bottom and you step off what turns out to huge rock.- Golf gloves for fishing
Before I would use Golf gloves I would go to a uniform/police supply house and get a set of bates patrol gloves. They are short thin tough leather gloves designed to be worn on patrol. They would be alot tougher than golf gloves and still give you the feel you need.- Fishing resolution for 2025

I fish mainly in the Susquehanna river so I need something that handles skinny, rock filled water. My boat is a 2015 Crestliner 17 foot with an 80 horse Mercury Jet. This was the picture from the dealership where it came from last year.- Can I pair a 100-150 sized casting reel with a 7-7’2” rod for cranking or does it need to be shorter?
I just heard Alex Davis talking about about his favorite rod for Spinnerbaits is a 7'3" Glass Curado and like to pair it with a 150 reel.- Hello from Central PA
Long time lurker and went to the Bass Fest 2025 at Susquehanna Fishing Tackle last weekend. This really has me ready to fish (although it's way too cold for me right now). But it also makes me want to learn more about where to find fish and how to get them in the boat. I am located in the Harrisburg area and do alot of fishing in the Susquehanna. Hoping to learn new sections of the Susquehanna this year (mainly fish at Goldsboro) and visit some of the local lakes as well.
