  7. I have a few questions and didn’t want to make separate threads. Thank you for any help 1. my bladed jig/spinnerbait setup is a Daiwa airdx 7’0 mhf. I fish off the bank in town ponds. What line should I use? This rod is almost a mh/mf due to how soft it is 2. my other braid setups. Il have 2 setups with 30lb braid and 1 with 50lb braid. Would some cheap bps 10lb mono work for backing? 3. for a budget fishermen who doesn’t fish in tournaments is it necessary to spend money on high dollar fluoro and braid? Would bps brand get me by?
  8. does anyone know how to get into tournaments in central illinois as a co angler? im a poor with no boat but im tired of fishing from the bank. peoria area
  9. swim jigs, weighted texas rigs, buzzbaits - 30lb braid chatterbaits and spinnerbaits - 20lb fluoro large top water - 30lbs braid frog - 50lb braid spinning finesse - 15lb braid to 10lb fluro
  10. I would have. I didnt pay for it so why should I feel entitled to keep it?
  11. That’s ok, thank you for looking. I’m still 90% sure on the gen 3 speed spool unless something else grabs my eye. This will be for a bladed jig spinnerbait rod so I would like to keep the reel speed in the 6s. The lews tournament np lfs looks interesting too but I’m not sure if it’s worth the $30 extra over the speed spool.
  12. Where could i find the xt in stock? Which reel speeds does it offer?
  13. I was going to get the gen 2 that was on sale at tw but the one I want (right hand 6.8:1) is out of stock now. Is the gen 3 speed spool lfs worth $99? Any other reels 6-6.8 speed no more than $100 that are comparable?
  14. thats the main purpose for the one I bought. Still waiting for the reel to arrive
  15. bank fishermen, local town ponds and occasionally river bank. I feel like im covering my bases here for the lures I like to use. any other lures I can use with these setups? 7'2 mh/f bc 7.5:1 reel. 30lb braid for swim jigs, weighted texas rigs and buzzbaits 7'2 h/f bc 7.5:1 reel. 50lb braid for frogs 7'3 mh/m bc 7.5:1 reel. 30lb braid for 110 whopper ploppers ( My favorite bait to use) 7'0 mh/f bc (daiwa aird-x which feels more like a mh/mf) 6.8:1 reel . 15-20lb fluro for chatterbaits and spinnerbaits 6'10 m/f spinning with 15lb braid to leader for wacky rig and weightless texas rigs (I throw these alot) 6'6 m/f bc 7.1:1 with 10lb mono for jerkbaits, 60 and 75 whopper ploppers and small cranks
  16. nope. I dont like giving my personal info to china
  17. none of the walmarts near me have any of those in stock. are they a regional thing?
  18. I do too. I had a airdx 7'0 hf but wanted more casting distance
  19. bought one of these today. I have a lews lfs 7,5:1 il throw on it with 50lb braid.
  20. update. bought a daiwa airx-d 7'0 mhf for the bladed jig/spinnerbait setup. pairing it with a lews lfs 6.8:1. not a bad combo for $120.
  21. I was going to get a lews tp2 from bass pro for spinners and chatters but I think im going to order the honey badger instead
  22. thank you for the info. Theres an academy not far from me so Il go try and get one of the 7'0 mh/f fast rods for chatters and spinners.
  23. Would that Daiwa rod work for spinners and chatters? I might just buy the airdx 7’0 mh/f to save money.
