Cats do that to show appreciation. The kill is his gift. Sounds gruesome,but to an animal it's paying back the kindness. I had a cat that did the same thing,would bring me back all kinds of dead birds and mice. The cat we have now plays with our 80 pound dog,They are like best buddies.....My Dog is real careful of not hurting the cat.Kind of amazes me how well they get along.

Yup I've been wanting a few of these as well,I don't have any problems waiting for it to sink.....For me The strike is usually on the fall.This could be useful on days when a fast normal fall rate ain't working.

I'm more of a smallmouth fisher than anything else...makes sense I guess. Carps are more of a sit and wait type game fish...not really my cup of tea,but i have caught them before.You are right they put up one heck of a fight. Cat fishing can be fun at times as well and put up about the same type of fight.But nothing beats a fish that can clear 2 feet out of the water. I'll stick to my smallmouth bass for now.

That's my biggest issue with it...No fight. I live for the fight of a fish.To me that's the best thing about fishing. I guess tournaments is where people are using this thing....I can see why,but if everybody is using this stupid rig on bass master classic,I'm not gonna watch it. It's plain retarded.....I rather see them catch em' on a T-rigged worm,rattletrap or crankbait of some sort. This thing should not be in tournaments period.

I cannot seem to even want one of these........I have no desire to even fish it even if i did have one.

LOL.......I have trouble with some 1/4 oz with just about every baitcaster I own. I won't even attempt 1/8 oz for a very good reason.

Nail clippers work very well too. Matter of fact it's all I use now. Skeet Reese sponsored handee tools. That's the one I use. Even though mine didn't last a full season,I really liked it. I was rough on mine to be honest. Me and my buddy was using it all season tossing it back and forth to each other.

Trying to make Saturday myself,depending on two things. Work and weather. I really want to go again,but it's never guaranteed I'll make it. I won't know till The 12th if I'll make it or not.

I got from AJ(Thanks AJ) pack of Trokar 3/0 hooks pack 4" swim senkos variety of swim jigs chatterbait type jig a few curly tail grubs Jigs are by far my favorite and will definitely get used.

What are you looking for in that color? Grubs,worms,ect? Some of the smaller home made guys may not have the mold of the bait you want. And may make you buy them the mold or order a certain amount of baits to make up for the mold. Smaller custom bait makers don't make a whole lot of money on their baits. It's an expensive hobby to get into so work with them and they'll work with you.

Mine is wrapped up....I'm gonna wait till Christmas to open it. Pictures will go up once I unwrap it. Might be the case for a few of us waiting for Christmas day.

My favorite spinning rod by far. I wish I had money to pick up another one,they are all sold out now. Don't disregard the Okuma C3 rods either....another excellent rod for a great price.

I don't know,but when I catch one on a plastic bait it seems to do well all day till I lose it. Never really thought about it till just know. Good topic,Looking forward to hear more answers from others.

Good thread even though it's a bit old. For the pass 3 years it's been; 6:30-grandparent arrive(wife's side) 7:00-wake up kid to open present 7:30-start making breakfast for everybody 8:30-Eat and watch kid play around 10:00-Everybody leaves Then we go back to the to her mom's house around 5pm for Christmas dinner and exchange gifts among the adults. The kid gets more toys here also.

Kept this to myself,but I'm incline to agree with grey wolf here. Younger kids are harder to keep control of. This could turn scary yet....

It's gonna catch up to him,Quarterbacks should not be running the football like that.Big potential to get hurt too easily. Just look at all the others who could run a football....Big time injuries. Same here.....Even though I lost in my fantasy football to the guy playing against me(He had brady). I had Rogers.....I got murdered in my fantasy football. First time I averaged under 100 points)

It's one thing if you can afford the fishing stuff,another if you cannot. No joke,My buddy @ work is 37 years old with no girlfriend or wife. He told this straight to my face "I rather spend it on things I enjoy,than a person who nags me about the things I love to do." He hunts,fish and parties almost 24/7.......he financed a $50,000 boat for over 15 years...and still tells me it's cheaper than a wife or girlfriend. Trust me,this guy could easily have women falling for him....so it's not like he can't get a woman.

A buddy of mine fishes them things and whips me every time. The newer lazy Ike suck....i tried 3 and can't get any of them to swim right. They don't seem to be able to be tuned either.

Mike Iaconelli fished them on a scrounger head jig with it rigged sideways. Loved the idea so much I started doing it. Didn't fish it much,but it did account for one smallmouth. Definitely works. I still prefer the ugly otter by Gambler over the sweet beaver. Ugly otter has a little more action.

Same here..i will be trying to make the Saturday or Sunday...depending on the weather/roads. I can't drive too well in snow storms.I missed last year also.

Not to mention Green bay beat them with a score of 49-23...... I'll be shocked if Denver makes it pass the first round of playoffs.
