  1. You got the same problem i do.Paca craws are one the the smaller baits out there, but even those are sometimes too big.My best were the FLW craws...don't make them anymore but those seem a perfect match for finesse jigs.I'm currently looking for a substitute right now too. I still don't have much success on rage tail products....
  2. Ands here I thought I was the only idiot out there stiffing my bag of baits.... I stiff JJ's too....just not too close to the jar....
  3. Jerkbaits......Everybody swears by them,I swear at them....lol I've watch videos, read articles even watch a few guys who caught them around me, tried doing what they were doing. Nothing, nada, not a single dang bite.
  4. I'm going to have to say the same thing. Shorebound plays a role in that. I very rarely get the chance to fish deep
  5. After getting off work last night and popped on here for a few before bed I saw the same thing. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me for a second.
  6. I don't have a problem.My wife however thinks I do....LOL
  7. Go to some of the most popular beaches where all the girls are a 10+ bombshells or better. They all want to date guys who look like Zack Khan. Most girls do...many just won't admit it.
  8. Only problem with that is Shimano is rarely included in the memorial day sales. Including a few other brands.
  9. Not just bass fishing but fishing in general for me is a big stress reliever. Since I moved to Michigan I've been back in fishing hardcore again.I've been here 8 years(today). Not to be rude about Michigan but It can be a very, very depressing state to live in sometimes.Half the people I know take some kind of Depression medication here.Or could be the fact I'm around some loony people...LOL. I've always been somewhat of an outdoor type of person...there's nothing calmer and more sense of happiness than with Nature alone. But to be fair....I love smallmouth bass. There's not a better places I rather be than in Michigan to catch them.Michigan lakes are full of wonderful species.Species I rarely find in Texas.
  10. My signature has that.....I refer to confidence as the right bait for the right situation.I don't believe in a one magic lure.My signature is dissing the gimmick lures you see on TV...LOL
  11. Grippers and pliers are the way to go.The smaller bass I grab underneath them just behind the gills. I've been lucky so far....never had a treble hook in me yet.Last time I had a hook in me was 25 years ago(I was 10)....It was a #2 worm hook.
  12. What if it actually becomes worst where you can't even use it anymore? Come on dude, don't be stupid...You can always fish another day,go get it casted and let it heal properly. I broke my wrist and was in a cast for over 2 1/2- 3 months last year.Sure I lost some fishing time last year, but hey my wrist is all healed up and now I can fish again without worrying rather my wrist would heal right. Fishing is always going to be there. Get yourself healed up first or you will regret it.I couldn't imagine my wrist not working right for the rest of my life just because I I was too subborn, rather fish than let a major part of me heal up first so I can fish right.
  13. The general rule of thumb is to fish like river rat316 stated,But I'm not a big believer in that. Why? Because fish won't always chase after something moving. There are times I can cast a senko type worm where I just casted a spinnerbait and get a bite, where as I'm not any bites on a moving bait. Then there are days where nothing but moving baits are getting bites and nothing else. I have also thrown spinnerbaits in the area first and felt like I just spooked any fish into biting a finesse bait. Do what works that day.Find what pattern is working and go from there.
  14. Frogs are usually fished in grass or pads....good luck trying to pull a fish out of that with light set up.Just saying. Get the right tool to get the job done. I love fishing ultra light too...but there's a time and place for it.
  15. Looks like I'm going to have to be the first to review these rods. LOL Nobody has one of these?
  16. I snag rocks on almost every cast. I check my line religiously. It has cost me a few decent fish. Even if I'm not snagging on anything I still check it every few cast.
  17. Now that I have done in the past.Should have mentioned that in my previous post. Long before I knew about KVD.
  18. To show support in something you really like and want it to continue. I buy TW shirts and hats all the time and wear them with pride.Wouldn't have a problem doing this with anything else I may support.
  19. Being shorebound....Shallow has to work for me most of the time. 6" to 10ft seems to be my focus point. I've caught most of my LM bass in less than a foot of water.
  20. Don't know,But I definitely ain't leaving my spool overnight in a bowl of water.Sure it works, but like you said you are removing oil and grease. I wouldn't put the spool back on the reel wet either. KVD line conditioner sounds like a better idea. I spray the main refill spool with KVD before spooling it onto my spinning reel with a few squirts while reeling it on as well. I've never had a problem with memory to be honest.
  21. Sounds to me that the feather looked like something injured and an easy target. If it was an actual shad doing that I doubt it would have gotten spit back out.
  22. Welcome aboard! Glad to see another Michigan angler on here.
  23. Remove a few strains of the weed guard.
  24. Anybody have one these rods? Any reviews or comments? Looking at the Casting 7' Heavy right now.
  25. http://delawarevalleytackle.com/ He's the repair sponsor here. Everyone speaks real highly of him. I need to sent off my curado soon too...Kinda sounding a little funny. Not sure I'm happy with the E series of curados to be honest.I've been grabbing my Revo STX more lately.
