Got hurt on the job. :(
Dang man,you too now? I fractured my wrist last month on the job.Being on restrictions duty sucks hardcore.I pride myself on being a hard worker....now all i do is sit around work doing nothing watching and seeing nothing get done. It's absolutely murder to me. Our osha accident rate is 11.65% right now for our company....the company goal is 4%.....We almost tripled that number right now.Not good.My honest opinion is people were working so hard trying to keep their jobs in this brutal economy trying to look good for their employers and now people are getting hurt more often. We are making to many mistakes safety wise. Drug tests doesn't bother me...I don't do drugs.I know a few people who would fail it in a heartbeat though....

Soft Stickbaits at night
Why not try to put some rattles in there?

How do you get rid of the JJ Magic's smell
That's actually a good question though....I would scrub it and dry then try to cover up with some Febreze.

favorite plastic company
I have favorite baits by certain companies....I don't have a favorite company because too many companies make/sell great baits.

Fishing from shore
The current is your friend.......People avoid the current for some odd reason here(mostly for lures getting hung up). Some of my best fishing has came from heavy to moderate water currents.

Attractant
Put one drop of lemon in a large pool of water and tell me if you can taste or smell it? I believe that theory...you probably won't taste/smell anything.Put it directly in your mouth then you will taste/smell it. Same Theory applies for Bass.

tap tap wiffffffff - missed fish on soft plastics
For the people that haven't actually read my posts, and just want to comment on them, i'll say it again... This pertains to my home lake only... Grimlin, you would rarely, if ever catch a bass in my lake like that, same with anyone else that just sets the hook at any indication of a bite. I tend to throw more durable baits, mostly hard baits for that reason. I try to use a spinnerbait, or crankbait pretty often. My go-to soft plastics are senko type baits, and other more durable baits that won't get ripped apart so easily. I throw smokin roosters often, they don't get ripped up easily. Most baits with appendages are out, unless they're very strong. If you throw any type of plastic, and let it sit, you're guaranteed to get a bunch of panfish bites pretty much every cast. So constantly "pulling it away" will do nothing but pull your bait out of the strike zone before the bass gets to it. My father came up yesterday, wanted some perch, and we went out and I caught them no exageration every single cast. My worm didn't even hit the bottom before it was snatched up most times. If you want to succesfully catch bass in my lake, especially with soft plastics, you have to learn the difference in bites, which I don't find to be as hard as everyone else describes. I find a bass bite to feel NOTHING like a panfish bite... and the same goes for the other way around. The guys that can't tell the difference just need to be more aware of the bite... I still think you could be missing a potential bass bite and not even know it.

tap tap wiffffffff - missed fish on soft plastics
I'm with Catt on this on....I've had bass do the tap, tap, tap on me,thinking it was a bluegill only to find it actually was a bass because i set the hook. There are times i feel one tap and my line goes swimming sideways...typical bass bite(I thought so too)? Wrong! It was a bluegill stupid enough to try and eat a 5" yum dinger. If you fish for bluegills enough like i do,you already know how stupid it is to not pull your bait away....I've lost enough arms and legs on my baits letting a bluegill peck at it instead of pulling it away thinking I'm going to spook the Bass. Better safe than sorry,Set That Hook!.... :-/

Any one drop shot with braid?
I do on my back up combo I leave in my car. I'll add a fluoro leader if I fish rocks though.

What's the difference between a $50 rod, and a $150 rod?
Great reply! Just beware once you try a nicer rod,It's hard to go back to cheaper ones.
-
Split Grip or Full Grip whats your preference?
Split grips...They feel much more comfortable.I also much prefer the the fore grip gone as well. It's just me....there's no wrong or right in this.Strictly personal preference.

Mend it expires?
ahhhh...thanks raul!
-
should i buy 2 or 3 mid priced poles, or 1-2 high end poles
If that were me I'd buy one nicer high end rod in the $150 value. Then spend the rest on some baits, line and terminal tackle. If i may, I'd take a look at the Powell max rod or the Dobyn savvy series. I'm currently saving up for a dobyn myself.

Mend it expires?
Mine did......Seemed like it just dried up while in storage.I keep all my stuff in a room in the house. Is this common for mend it to dry up like this? It's pretty useless to me now. :-/

Need opinions on Line Conditioners
You won't regret getting KVD line conditioner. Reel magic doesn't seem to last as long but it does work.KVd absorbs it a little better.I spray it on a fresh spool while spooling up,I've been using 17# test P-line earlier this year with absolutely no issues.I used to hate P-line because of it's manageability issues. Not any more.

Field and Stream Rainer Basitcaster
The first review threw me off. I don't like the sound of that thumb bar being that weak.Yet the guy gave it a 4 star.Doesn't make any sense to me. You get what you paid for comes to mind....that baitcaster costs less than $40....I'd stay away from it if that was me.I can't see it lasting long at all.

Does anybody else find themselves throwing soft plastics more often than hardbaits?
Because it's cheaper....lol
