  1. Those don't even look real. Not to mention how frigging skinny those things look.
  2. I just picked up 3 packs myself 2 weeks ago. I'm a BIG Powerbait fan.Funny thing is...i hate berkley gulp though.
  3. It did me too....I don't know if they are staged or not,but they sure are hilarious.
  4. I told my wife,If we ever win the lottery I'm flying out to tackle warehouse in CA with $10,000 cash and just go crazy. She told me...why don't you just buy the place then....Then i got to thinking....... ;D
  5. That's what Michigan needs.Something closer to that will actually protect them during spawning. Yet C & R still continues during that time period as well. Wapiti, get out your UL rod and go crappie or Bluegill fishing(there's no season on them). When it hits 75 you won't see me staying indoors... ;D. Just don't intentionally target bass,The DNR guys told me don't worry about it,just let them go as fast as you can.
  6. I was always into fishing growing up ...but never this hardcore like i am with Bass fishing now. I just moved here from Texas(this was 6 1/2 years ago).Took out my wife's sister & her ex b/f fishing with me one day.I ended up catching a smallmouth bass just under 14".I'll embarrassingly admit,I turned into Ike that day fishing that fish. After the day was over i went home and checked online everything i could about Bass fishing. And that's how i became seriously addicted to bass fishing.
  7. I have P-line CXX in 6# test on my spinning reel right now. I pulled in a 20 pound tree trunk on it and the line didn't even snap....The stuff is ridiculously strong. I have 17# P-line CXX on my baitcaster....still getting used to it,but I could probably pull my car out of the drive if it was on neutral. ;D I had 12# test of BPS XPS and was very pleased with it. Just remember neither line excels in terms of limpness...but they are both great line.If i had to pick right now P-line CXX gets my vote.
  8. We really didn't need to know that.... ;D
  9. Congratulations!
  10. Keep it low and get it that bait moving. Sidearm cast is the way to go.Like Captain O stated...same concept of skipping a rock. I use a 7' Medium spinning rod.Much easier than a MH.Depends on the weight of the bait for the most part. Trying it with a baitcaster always end up in disaster for me.
  11. oh boy......those colors look awesome.......
  12. That is very true. I despise the sinko. I will not tie one on and you will never catch me even lookin at one. Matter of fact, when i say i catch a fish, i have to tell people that it was caught on a sinko because i despise it so very much. A lot of fisherman have an ego, me as one of them. I just can't use what my competition is using. A lot of fishing is about self discovery and self achievement and that part is taken away when your buddy is telling you what to use. They might as well set the hook and hand you the pole. Some people don't mind that, i am stubborn enough that i would. It's pathetic Indeed shimmy!
  13. Weightless T-rigged bait...I very seldom lose one to rocks. No matter what you'll still lose baits....It's just the way it is when fishing rocky lakes. You think rocky lakes are bad? Try fishing a rocky river system with heavy current. It'll deplete your tackle collection pretty quickly.
  14. Crooked creek, berkley powerbait, combat fishing(wayne carpenter's tube baits) & Mizmo Those are my 4 top favorites.... I've yet to try ISG,which i also hear great things about them.
  15. I rather be using spinning gear only as well(they are my go to set up)....but the fisherman in me just doesn't see the point in not learning other types of set ups.I refuse to let myself be limited. My goal for next year is to at least learn to cast a fly rod.I really want to get a light weight one and go catch some bluegills with it....I always hear how much of a blast it is.
  16. I won't touch a storm bait either..I hate them.Even if the guy next to me is wacking the fish on them.
  17. Luck E strike's jogger worm....laugh all you want those things can catch fish and they are under $2 a bag.
  18. I'll take a powell rod over shimano any time of the day.My powell rod is the best rod i have in my rack....I absolutely love it. I prefer the split grips and no fore grips on my rods...and Powell matches my needs perfectly.
  19. If all you brought are your favorite color and brand tubes, spinnerbaits, senkos and jerkbaits you will be set.For what you mentioned Just bring yourself 2 packs of each and a small plano box with just enough jerkbaits, topwater and crankbaits. You can get all that in a very small backpack or something with no problem.
  20. I sure hope you wait until the 4th Saturday or that really nice guy is going to be handing you a ticket of your own. :-/ C&R season starts April 24th! Oops.....4th Saturday is right..... I got the 24th down as fishing plans.
  21. Thanks for making my day! This was hilarious...even though it's after the 1st already.
  22. 4/0 is still too small to me....every since I switched to a 5/0 hook and using a 7' MH rod my hook ups has increased dramatically.
  23. Tubes...LOL Ours open 3rd Sat. of April. I took out the spinning rig today for white bass, crappies and whatever else doesn't have a season intact. The DNR guys are out there in FULL EFFECT! I ended up talking to one guy after showing my license and he ended up being really nice to me telling me they were busting people for no tickets and fishing for out of season fish.He was up to 26 people already fined. ;D
