Great news on finding your rods! Glad to hear your health is picking up again.Hope you can get out there and fish. You thinking Curado E and revo STX? Great choices! I have both of those reels and love them.You will be very please and happy with both of them.

I find myself using 14# test Trilene XT the most.That's my most often used line on casting reels.

I never understood why people go all out on weddings.Wedding is just to show your spouse you are ready to be together forever.My wife agrees with me on this one as well.Specially if you are financially unstable. P.S. Our wedding costs were right at $2000.... ;D . And no it wasn't a redneck wedding or anything lame like that.Everything we had was hand made and put together by family(Family helped us big times) .Renting the rec. center for $400 was the most expensive thing on the list. It came out very classy and original. We paid for it from our tax returns.

I have absolutely no problems with Ebay or paypal these days.I've been using it for over 8 years.Granted i don't use it much,but i still got over 60+ transaction.All went good except one. Sounds like you got yourself a "scam" artist.Contact Ebay,let them know what's going on and get that dude's account froze.Ebay has really been cracking down on bad sellers.

Trilene XL does fray up easily,specially when it's going over stuff. I took one of my set ups on a fishing trip to detroit river and i was cutting off line every 5th cast or so.The XL version isn't meant to be fished in cover like that much less dragged across grass,rocks or whatever else..I try to fish that stuff in open waters...that's where it excels for me. Rooster,switch to some 12#-14# test Trilene XT and this will stop. The XT version works much,much better on baitcasters IMO.Much more abrasive resistance. If it still does it,then your rod and reel might need to be looked at closer.At the start of the season i do the "cotton swab" around the guides and reel carriage to check for that.Same thing you do. There's a reason why i went back to P-line CXX this year on spinning reels...the very same reason you mentioned.

Usually about half of my tackle was on sale the other half i paid full price for. 50% sounds about right to me. Reels however......i don't think I've paid full price for them except maybe 2 of them. ;D

If it wasn't for KVD line conditioner I'm 100% sure i wouldn't be able to cast P-line CXX in 17# test right now. It really does help.

I have absolutely no problems with it on my spinning rig.I use the 6# test.This stuff is very comparable to the limpness of Trilene XL for me which is also the other line i use.

I remember seeing this awhile back. Still amazing to watch it swim in the water like that. It almost makes me want to play with it in a bathtub..... ;D

A buddy of mine from work says pack up on red colored lipless cranks.You shouldn't be having any problems catching some nice outs out there this month.May is prime time fishing for MI.

If you change the design of a bait enough to where the action,size and shape is different enough there's nothing the "other guy" can do.There's a certain percentage of change in a bait design before it's not considered a copycat bait.

More than likely it's bluegills or sunfish picking on the bait. Otherwise it sounds like you are trying to set the hook too late. It could very well be the equipment you are using too. :-/

Trilene 100% is not as manageable as some people here make it out to be.I hated that line. I have P-line CXX in 6# test on a Daiwa Fuego 2000 and that thing is working like a charm.Burley,I think it was you who recommended it to somebody once or twice here.I picked up on that tip and decided to try Fluoro again.I'm glad i did now....

I have the Curado E series reel and also the revo STX.I even have the Daiwa Fuego. I have nothing bad to say about any of those reels.They are all great reels.However i will say this...the Curado E has a slight advanage for people new in the baitcasting world.It's just a tad bit easier to use IMO. The Revo line is coming out with the duel braking system...which I'd bet is going to help alot. I'm not brand loyal at all $200 is going to get anybody a great reel in those brands..... ;D

If you're willing to buy a book, Knowing Bass, by Dr. Keith A. Jones, gets into the biology of bass senses and how they respond to various stimuli. X2...Great book...i have it as well.

Give it a TRY...Gambler does make some great baits.

It's not for the younger audience viewers....That's all I'm going to say. ;D
