Depends on what Pound test rating kinda line you planning on putting on for what reel.I recently spooled 17# P-line again on one of my baitcasters and to be honest,it would be useless to even put backing on it.I probably only got 60 yards if that on it. I also spooled up one of my 2000 size reels with fluorocarbon,another example of not really needing backing as the reel itself is already pretty small.I spooled that one up with 6# test.

They were very common when i lived in TX as well. They always seemed to be very aggressive.

I like the skip gap hooks myself for tubes.Holds it extremely well. Looks like I'm going to have to pick up a few of these to try out.

Looks like an Onion to me... I don't know anything about the Micro guides....But i have enough trouble trying to thread baitcasting rods as it is...I don't need those guides any smaller than they already are.

I don't consider these baits "magic" but they do work.They definitely have their place and time to use them.For me it's the Summer time when bass start holding real tight to structure. When i first started out I accidentally got the salt water version...in was a pinkish color and the bass absolutely hammered that thing. It will glide backwards into a rock bolder and right into the bass face. That what makes these things deadly. Usually I stick with anything greenish or brownish colored.But the pink salt water ones worked too. I can only imagine how well the white ones might work...it would look like a dieing baitfish falling right into a bass ambush home.

I look at it this way....Just for me and my wife to go to the movies it's close to $30-$40 every time we go.If i had to pay that for a fishing license for one price the whole year of fishing,who can really complain? MI is still $15 for the year.....Even with our "bass season" that's still really cheap for me.I rather pay $15 for the whole year fishing than go to the movies and spend more than that in one day.

I cast right and reel right.I do the old switcharoo. Until I start missing fish because of the switch,I have no reason to use LH reels.

same here...I switched over to War Eagle this year. H&H is my smaller "go to" spinnerbait when things get tough.
