Tough Pond
Impossible, it has got to have some sort of forage base. I bet it has shad or bluegill, not in big numbers though. Unless it is absolutely loaded with crawfish it has got to have bluegill or shad.

swivels and crankbaits
I don't know I am kind of on the fence on this issue. I do not use them now but I might in the future. Pros: It is supposed to enhance vibration of the lure, many pro's use it, and it makes switching cranks and lipless cranks easy. Cons: May break or come unhinged, I do not have enough confidence in them yet, may effect balance of crankbait?

Extreme Tubo?

Lipping vs. Netting?
I hear this all the time, but I also deal with fisheries biologists that do fish rescues from irrigation canals at the end of the season, as well as electroshock surveys and they use nets all the time and don't seem to feel it's an issue???shrug? I am not that well informed on this issue, but I am pretty sure that different nets are better or worse for the bass's natural slime, and I assume that the biologists use nets made of materials that are not that harmful.

Fishing Bedding Bass
Most fisheries bioligists agree that fishing during the spawn barely effects fish populations. The real factors that make bass spawn successful is deep cover, for winter so all the small bass dont get eaten. Also, available forage for baby bass. If one nest is removed typically that just makes other nests more successful due to less competition.

Anyone one bass fish in Montana. I know they go together like white guys and basketball but there are a few lakes I fish in NW Montana for bass with my father.

Crankbait Line
Trilene fluorocarbon. Is much less visible, more abrasion resistant, has some stretch, and gets lures down deeper.

Sunshine showdown this weekend any predictions?
Over the weekend, I had 3 fishing friends confirm that B.A.S.S. does give a 12" exemption while fishing in Florida. Lame I was watching the weigh-ins live on the internet and I saw a 10 and 11 oz bass brought in by co-anglers. I don't know if I could of swallowed my pride and bring it to the scales. There is no "swallowing pride" for the pros. Whats wrong with a 12 inch fish??? Its better than no fish, just ask Brian Snowden.

Help with cold muddy pond
Lipless crankbaits are good winter lures, experiment with retrieves. I also like to swim Kalins grubs, 3 inchers

Lizard question
Okay, thanks for the quick responses. I figured you guys would say "fish them" but I wanted to make sure. This should help my confidence fishing them. I know that creature baits work well and they look nothing like any forage. I will fish them, just wanted to run it by you guys first and if you guys say they work for you they should work for me;).
