=/ Hit up Simon, I think he'll be up for some fishing this weekend. Unfortunately for me, Thursday is the only day I'll be able to fish this week. I think I'm just going to hit up my friends farm pond.

I'm going to try and fish Thursday. Not sure where yet or if the weather will cooperate but I'd like to get out there. Thinkin' about taking the yak out but that's uncertain as well. Let me know if you're free! I'd love some company! Andrew

Nice report, miss those around here. I was there last weekend and had pretty much the same luck. Short strike on a spinnerbait and 1 white perch foul hooked off a lipless crank. The bite is tough but atleast you're already catching nice fish! I'm still looking for #1 of 2009. Matthew looks great! Where's the fishing rod though?

I was actually thinking about fountainhead because I thought people would be able to rent but they won't rent till the week after. The reason I didn't list woodglen was that I thought it was kinda small and can get crowded pretty quick. Not sure if mudkart would agree, but I didn't think the walk to launch at Mercer was that bad... How come no one ever suggest Accotink?! I'm up for the rez or anywhere else. Just want to catch my first bass of '09 and meet some of you fellas!

Trevor is no longer with BR :'( but yeah. I don't think going to Braddock will be a good idea as it's a private lake for residence and their guest only. How about the other larger local lakes? Royal? Burke? Mercer? Huntsman?

Excellent advice from Paul! The first thing I did when I got my yak was youtube how to get back on a kayak when you've fallen out. I've yet to try it but plan to this year. Dan, yes they're size 13 shoe. I thought you had a pair of waders last year? That was a scary day Mike! I know now that the larger person should be in the front for my kayak.

I think my yak is pretty stable. I stood on it on the potomac and I've been in some pretty windy conditions in the yak as well. Allyn and I fished beaverdam with white caps on the water. Unless you're playing around, I don't see how you could fall off a kayak. Just an FYI, I have a SOT kayak and water occasionally comes up through the scupper holes and the drive hole. I have an extra pair of waders if you need them. They're size like 13 though.

Didn't fish cuz of my other hobby, fish keeping. Instead of getting bass by rod and reel, I got some via UPS. ;D Got four peacock bass (2x 2" and 2x 4-5"), new PB and first bass of 2009 WOOOHOOOO!!! I'll try and get out there today if I can though.

I just want to get out, don't expect to catch anything but a keeper would be awesome. I'll decide if/where i want to go in the morning. I'll let you guys know how i do.
