  1. Thanks guys. I should be up an running in a few days. I have to stay on the meds for 10 but I should be feeling better by the weekend the doc says. I still never found the tick bite, or tick. The doc said that since we caught it so early, I probably won't even get the "red bulls-eye" shaped rash that people usually find. I guess that doesn't show up for 2-3 weeks after the bite. The doc told me that most people get bit, about a week later they get flu like symptoms for a few days and ignore it, and then feel better. They think it was just a cold, and then about a month later is when all the real bad stuff happens that you hear about with Lyme disease. Like I said before I'm real lucky I caught it, since I was just going to ride it out. I am going to have to do something special for the wife once i'm up off the couch. And Pain we do have to get out on the water. We missed our annual 40 degree freezing rain fishing day this year ;D
  2. Good luck, stay safe, and have fun! Thanks for your service
  3. I'm in nh and fish lizards pretty often. Mostly on a Carolina rig, and they work great for me. They'll work just fine up in Maine as well

If it makes you feel any better. Your not alone with uncomfortable tick bites. I had one in the other direction... on the backside. The bad news is I just found out I have lyme disease from it....in fact I just put a post up about it a little while ago. If you start feeling flu like symptoms next week, make sure you go to your doc and get checked. And not for nothing, but that was a terrific piece of prose describing your situation....well done Sir. Peace
  5. I had a sore throat on monday night. Tuesday it turned into fever and chills, and then on wed my wife finally made me go to the doctor. I figured I was just sick, and I would ride it out. But man am I glad that my smarter half sent me to the doctor. Turns out I have Lyme disease from a tick bite. The good news is that because it was caught so early I can just take some antibiotics and be better in 10 days. The bad news is that the medicine I'm on makes me very susceptible to sunburns. My doctor suggested I stay off the water until I'm done with the meds.
  6. UGLY STICK 4EVER. WOOT!!! Really, just fish what you like.
  7. Nice Job UNH. Glad you got into the fish. And thanks for the compliments everyone on my 120 Bass vid. I also wanted to state that all 120 Bass were caught on plastics from ***. Mostly trick worms, but also a couple of other baits
  8. Thanks Guys. It really was an amazing day. Went back there yesterday and got 35. Still an awesome day, but much slower. Bass had moved to post spawn and it made it a little tougher to bite. It should also be noted that all 120 bass were caught on *** products. Most on his trick worm. Brent is a great guy and runs a great store.
  9. That's awesome. There are so many great small lakes up here in NH if you take the time to find them. I caught my PB Smallie in almost the same way- a tiny lake that I always went to for numbers and to relax and just happend to hook into a monster. Glad you had such a great time, and nice fish
  10. Got out last week on a new body of water I found up here in NH. Had a pretty amazing day. 120 bass in a little under 7 hours. Nothing huge, a couple at 3 lbs and some 2 lbers It was awesome because all of the fish were right where they were supposed to be. If you made that perfect skip under the dock -BAM- you'd have a fish. If you pitched it right at the base of the tree -Bam- another fish. ;D Here's the vid of the day
  11. Good to see you back on the water Baboosic. Finally finished that video from my 120 bass day. Definitely one of the best days I've ever had on the water.
  12. Thanks guys. I thought it might me something as simple as that. I saw the map offset feature in my Manual, wasn't sure if I needede to do that. So if i understand correctly, getting the navionics chip may help fix some of the maps, but I might still need to manually line up the map on certian smaller bodies of water. Thanks for the help
  13. I'm having a problem with the internal GPS on my Hummingbird 587ci. When in chart mode, and looking at the built in maps, the maps don't seem to line up with the real lake. For example, it may show my boat travelling up on the shore instead of being on the water. I hope this makes sense. It's kind of hard to describe. I want to upgrade to a navionics chip, but there is no point in having lake contours if I can't get the GPS to accurately show my location on the lake. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? Thanks
  14. Nice Fish UNH. That's a beauty
  15. Wow! 120 fish Wagn? That's impressive. Where were you? (if you don't mind sharing) Thanks guys. It really was just the perfect day. I actually can't share this place. A good friend showed it to me and asked that I keep it secret. It's about an hour west of me in Peterborough. It's just not a very well known place. I hate to be that way, but out of respect for him being willing to show me his honey hole, I'm going to have to keep quiet on this one. :-X I'm heading out tomorrow on the Piscatequog for a few hours in the morning. I probably won't get 120 but hopefully the bite will be on I hear yeah wagn. I told alot of people about Mill pond and now there are a TON of boats out there on that small pond, Yet I don't mind helping people find a place to fish, After all I do this for fun. I'm no tourney guy. It's all about making some new friends and having some fun. 8-) whoops i was trying to modify my thread and accidentally deleted it. I know what you mean UNH. Most of the places I fish are real common knowledge anyway. But this one was my friends special spot. It's river system that most people just don't seem to know about. So I'm going to keep quiet like he asked me to.
  16. Went out on tuesday. What a beautiful day. Me and my friend caught 120 bass in 7hours of fishing. Absolutely crazy. It was a pretty even mix of smallies and Largemouth. Everything was caught on plastics, worms, tubes and Fat Ikas. I don't think I've ever had blisters from fishing before We had a bunch of 2 + fish. only one over 3 I think. Very few dinks. This was one of my best days ever. The only time I've ever enjoyed fishing this much are the times I've caught fish over 6lbs. Simply Awesome I've have a video up eventuall of the day
  17. So, was it "too early" like "too early for the bass to be biting", or was it "to early" like "it's unethical to be lifting bass off their beds"? I've heard the latter from some PETA types before. It's definitely not to early for them to be biting...we all have been experiencing that. I went out for a quick trip on Saturday, and caught SMB and LMBs pretty much at will. He was saying too early, like to early to catch bass. It's amazing the number of people who think that you can only fish once June hits. Oh and Eloo...thanks for the kudos Heading out tomorrow. Supposed to be 94 degrees and no wind. I sure hope the fish don't mind
  18. That really was funny. ;D
  19. Looks like everyone has really been hitting the fish. When I was at the lake putting my boat in this past week, a guy pulled up his truck. He was wearing a suit, probably on a lunch break of something. He asked me if there were bass in the lake I told him yes. He then took the time to inform me that it was too early in the season to catch bass. I told him that the 100+ bass I've already caught this year would probably disagree with him ;D Looks like the spawn is on in most places and the fishing should be good for the next couple of weeks. Tight lines and good luck everyone
  20. Thanks guys. The best part was that it really didn't add much weight. The board that make the top piece was orignally covering the side of the boat. The only real weight addition were the few support boards.
  21. Wow...Awesome smallie!
  22. I just extended the deck on my little boat to give myself some storage and rod holders. It only took me a few hours and really opens up space on my john boat. Before After
  23. Had an amazing 2 days. I went out with Jay yesterday. Thanks Jay. Today I went out to Secret Lake X, with my Dad and we caught 85 bass! It was one of my best days ever. Multiple 3 pounders and too many 2lbers to count. The best part of the day was being able to take my Dad out and put him on the fish. As for the sunglasses, I think that they are absolutely necessary. My glasses are as important to my rod and reel. Most of the fish I caught today were on or near beds. I couldn't even see the beds without polarized glasses. I wear Native's right now, but any quality pair will work great. Here are a couple of pics from the day 2 Smallies at the same time!!! Largest Smallie of the day One of the smallest bass...but I caught him and a stick at the same time!! ;D
  24. I know they once did (at least the skirt) but I haven't seen a purple Terminator in several years. I even checked there webpage today and couldn't find any with purple skirts. They did have an all blue one, but that was as close I could get.
  25. I tried them, and hate them. I just couldn't stand the way they felt, and made the handle so much thicker. But I know a bunch of people who love them. Just like anything, it's personal preference
