  2. Here are a few of my favorites Three generations fishing together My Dad in his boat on his river The river My son Me and my son driving He loves the bass and this is my favorite
  3. Got out for about 6 hours today with my buddy Dunphy. The first 3 were a bust and we couldn't catch anything. Decided to take a break for lunch. After lunch we tried again and the fish finally started to turn on. I ended up with 8 and Dunphy got 4. Most of the fish were between 1.5-2lbs with the largest being 2lbs 6oz. The water temp was 59 degrees and pretty windy. Most of the fish were caught on spinnerbaits. Hope everyone else is having a some luck on the water.
  4. Sounds like everyone is still doing pretty well. I'm hoping to get out this wed morning or thursday for a couple of hours. I'm hoping the water temp will stay up for just a little while longer so i can squeeze a few more days out of this season
  5. cover the cabin door with clear packaging tape with the sticky side inwards. Wake everyone up at 3am with a bullhorn or something similar. Yell that you have to get out quick cause of a fire, or some other emergency and watch the first guy out run head first into an entire door of clear tape. If done right, it will take him awhile to get all that tape off.
  6. Man, I wish I had known about the expo ahead of time. I would have found a way to get out of work today instead of working the weekend shift. >
  7. Thanks Baboosic. Got out again this morning for 3 hours before work. We caught 19 I think. Most were all around 1 lb except for a 2lb 1oz smallie and a 2lb 10oz Largemouth. The fish were all on large weedbed flats near a deeper channel. basically i just fished a senko all morning
  8. Try lipless cranks, tick them over the top of the milfoil, they seem to come through alot better once the milfoil starts to break down. Double willow spinnerbaits as well if it's windy enough. Senko's as always are a go to bait. I'm also working on swimming twin tail grubs or similiar through weed flats. hope this helps
  9. Here's a pic of the smallie my Dad caught We caught it just as we were landing the boat and calling it a day. What a fish to end on
  10. Got out today for a couple of hours at my parent's river before work. I caught 6 with the largest being a smallie a litte over 2lbs. My Dad got 5 with the largest being a beautiful 3lb 14oz smallie. Bite was slow. the fish seemed to be pretty shallow, but on flats far off the bank in most cases. I'll post a pic later if I get a chance
  11. I've never been a big Mars Volta fan, but this is great song
  12. As others have said, you'll get the hang of it if you practice. I fish spinnerbaits and topwater at night on my BC all the time. It's all about feel
  13. What's punting? is it some variation of a pitch? i've never heard of that before. Thanks As for the Chigger Craw I use them for pitching. Those and the Paca craws are my 2 favorite craw type baits Think he meant punching man.............................. Ahhh. now I get it. I also feel a little bit dumb :-[
  14. Found this website a couple days back. It really is hilarious ;D
  15. Great Catch nhBassin. I'm amazed at the size and quality of the fish that we've all been catching this year. That's the 3rd or 4th 7lber I've seen on this board I believe. I don't even want to try and count the 5's and 6's. UNH...Check with Pain to be sure, But i'm 99% sure Corbetts is a town only lake. You can only use the ramp if you have a sticker or something. I've only been out on Pain's boat and he lives right next to the lake

  17. Found this article on msnbc http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32848267/ns/technology_and_science-science/ What's next crossdressing fish?
  18. I saw a picture of the Vendetta on the intranets....It looks pretty. Does that help ;D
  19. First Pat's game of the year and I'm stuck at work tonight. Not only am I missing the game but my cousin was hired to rap during a 30 second commercial for Monday night football during todays game and I'm going to miss that too. Man am I glad I have DVR
  20. Sounds like...mud! I once fished a trout stream regularly and one day a favorite stretch was pure mud. I expected to find a broken fence and cows, or a bulldozer, in the creek upstream. I finally found it -a plume of mud and clay billowing out from a single undercut . I contacted the watershed manager and they found it to be an ancient pocket of clay probably deposited by the creek long ago. The stream had cut into it -"re-found" it, so to speak. Knocked out that stretch for a year 'till it scoured out. Pretty cool though. Could have been mud. But if so I couldn't find a reason for it. The entire pond was basically the same brown all over. It doesn't mean that there wasn't some cause for the mud... but if so I couldn't find it. I'm not complaining though. I caught a 4lber and 5lb 13oz fish in that mud, and that's not to bad for up here in NH. I was just suprised by the dramatic change in just a few days without any obvious cause
  21. I wonder how long till Catt replies to this one? I'm pretty sure Gene Larew is one of his favorite companies
  22. Shane I was out at one of my favorite small ponds last week as well up here in NH and ran into the same thing. Usually the water is relatively clear but it was like mud. I couldn't see my bait even 1 foot down. I don't think it was turnover since the water temp hadn't changed much at all since the last time i was out there. I have no explanation for it either. What worked for me was bulky baits with rattles. like jigs and big craws. hopped and shook in specific spots tight to hard cover like rocks or wood. Hope this helps
  23. haven't lost anything yet. Almost lost my trolling motor. I pressed down on the power button and instead of the motor pulling the boat the motor pulled the trolling motor right off the front. Somehow the bolts had actually cut in half. I managed to grab it before it went down and re-install it with quality hardware later.
  24. Congrats!! Nothing feels better then when you see a fish that big on the scale
  25. I'm on the same page as Muddy. I bought a mojo, not because it was a "sexy" rod, but because it was the same rod as the Premier, and I like the Premier. IThey are good rods in my price point. If I have the choice between what are essentially the same rods, why wouldn't I buy the one that looks a little better to me. It's not like St Croix is scamming anyone. All they did was make the same rod in two different configurations.
