  1. New home sales. Like my job, but love the company I work for. If i didn't work weekends I would be set. Hope to be working for the same company in a management position in a couple of years.
  2. I agree that we are talking about them right now so it must not hurt that much. I'm conservative on a lot a things and liberal on many. However, I just can't see not using a product because of its name. You might not like it, granted, but to be so uptight that you wouldn't have it on your boat. By all means thats your perogative if you so choose, but you mean to tell me that none of your buddy's let out a cuss word on the boat every now and then. For the record I wouldn't be opposed to penetration on my boat once I have one ;D. Bob, once i re-read the post I realized that the use of the word you came across as directed at you and you only. Please realize that the you's in the post are meant for anyone that refuses to use certain products b/c of the name. I
  3. Kentucky Lake. The key thing is that you will have rise in water temp. for that area. April should be spawn at Kentucky. I might even consider going a little earlier, mid march maybe. I think thats when most of the fish will be in pre-spawn. Of course this is coming from someone that believes water temp. has very little to do with spawn. Length of day is what matters. IMO, the most important thing to early spring fishing is warming water. For instance it the water was 40 degrees 3 days ago and is now 46, I'll take that over was 56 and now 50.
  4. I really like mine so far, but I hardly have enough on the water time to give a true evaluation.

Assumig i bit it tommorow I would want my wife to hold on to it for my son. If he didn't like fishing : he could have what he wanted for keepsakes, and the rest would go to my best friend. Unless my wife knew of a needy, deserving person, and then I would want them to have it.
  6. Congratulations. Thats a keeper for sure.
  7. Thats good FishinBuds. ;D
  8. awesome looking set-ups man.
  9. fourbizz, 75% of your post is REALLY good.
  10. got me on that one. However, i'll say that any old fart that knows spends to much time looking/studying man skirts.
  11. Dang it! We will be here for awhile. Drip, drip, drip ;D.

Glad you got to get out. What took you so long to try out the line?
  15. My son had gone to sleep and I told my wife I was going to go fish at the pond in our neighborhood until dark. Only had about 30 minutes. On the first cast caught a 4lb 9oz girl, and was the biggest fish i've caught out of this pond by 4oz. Caught her on a *** craw tube. Was only my 3rd fish of the year. Theres been a lot less fishing going on this year with the new family addition. Oh yeah, fish was released back into the pond. Didn't want you guys to get nervous about the driveway pic .

  17. As a proud member of the under 30 club I will conceed that we will probably lose. However, we get bonus points for only soiling ourselves in one stage of our lives so far. Thats a huge plus. Plus, we will look a lot better losing than the old guys will look winning. We've all seen Muddy's old avatar :.

    Welcome ; .
  19. Mike, I enjoyed the reply. I wasn't really directing my question at you. I've heard many wonder about the cost of line, and I just don't get it. I don't use the most expensive line by any means. Even though its not cheap compared to others. However, I do use the line that I feel is the best. They could double CXX in cost, and until I tried something better thats what i'm using. As I stated earlier its pretty low cost for the usage you get out of it. I think even someone on a low budget that is a recreational fisherman could by pretty much whatever line they wanted. On the high end it may cost 15.00 more, but is going to last an entire season. Obviously I see the difference if you fish so much you change line every week or something. P-Line CXX in my opinion is the toughest and most abrasive resistant line on the market. If you are worried about rocks thats the way I would go. You can literally do stupid stuff with this line.
  20. Yet another example of why this forum is the best 8-).
  21. I throw in a vote for P-line CXX. Have never tried several of the lines others suggested though. P-line is tough and you won't lose fish b/c of it. I don't want to highjack your thread, but I have a question I want to throw out to everyone. I just don't get the worries over line cost that i've heard in multiple threads on here. P-Line cost like $15-16 bucks for a 600 yd spool. You can get about 6 reels out of that and it lasts a good while. So that comes to 2.50 per reel for at LEAST a months use I would think. You can lose a 4.00 crankbait on the first cast, but nobody worries about that. To me line would be the last thing to skimp on b/c overall its not costing you that much per reel.
  22. Congratulaions man 8-). Wish we could of seen the pics.
  23. Are those rentals? And he's taking a rest and i'm taking a rest are the best parts.
