  1. Its basically Tyvex of clothing. No insulating properties, but keeps you warm and allow your body(home) to breath.
  2. I like American Shad as well. I'm not a big believer in color anyways, but think it is less important in topwater than anyother type of fishing. Except on the times when topwater conditions favor black.
  3. Ok.....I was obviously not clear. I meant that during the regular season they didn't beat a team that made the playoffs. I would also like clarify and say that I have no idea if this is true, but that is what I understood an all sports radio station to say.

I can respect anyone that can give a honest to goodnes apology. You are a good man, and welocme back
  5. I think the Dolphins could have an asterik also. I heard yesterday on the radio that the Dolphins did not beat a single team that made the playoffs that year they went undefeated. Did you hear that Matt Fly, it was on Norm's show. Thats a pretty easy walk through the regular season. I think that there is noway they don't hang 70 at least on the Jets next time.
  6. Thanks everyone. I think westpalm is next. Good luck man. Will can't wait to come to Florida and fish with your little guy.
  7. Albertson's here gives .25 off per gallon coupons(limit 30 gallons). Really cool and makes it easy deciding which grocery store to go to. I really feel for the people that have to watch it and this stuff effects.
  8. I like the Patriots, but I don't think Shula is that far off. Even though it is a little ridiculous. I guarantee you that the only reason the NFL didn't make New England forfeit that game is b/c of the Vegas implications of a winning team being forfeited. Think about it. They came out and admitted a team was cheating during the game and let them keep the win. What if it was discovered the owner was paying the official. Like I say I like the Patriots, and believe they are not the only ones doing it, but they got caught cheating red handed. Sad thing is it probably had absolutely nothing to do with them beating the Jets.
  9. Great!!!! Glad you got to enjoy the day with your son.
  10. Haven't been around much the last to weeks, and thought I would let you guys into as why. William Rutherford McGee 8lbs 8 1/2 oz's 20 1/4 inches
  11. I agree with Catt, but think it has more to do with how the fish are holding to the cover. If they are tight or way back in it you have to peg it or go with a screw in weight. On the whole though I don't peg it unless the fish are reluctant to stray from the cover. I use a 1/8 free sliding tungsten most of the time. Kind of light I know, but i'm usually flipping to flooded timber and don't have to worry about penetrating grass so much.
  12. There is no doubt about it. I'm not a bait snob at all, and i must admit the sammy is hands down the best and easiest walk the dog type bait. I can handle paying 15 buck for a topwater that is tough to lose. The sway back spooks are much easier to walk than the regulars, but still can't compare to the sammy's.
  13. IMO, the medium heavy.
  14. Yeah...i'm sure you guys are on cloud 9. If you don't already go to espn.com and read Bill Simmon's column on being a boston fan. Basically saying the same thing as you, but I don't think he mentions BC. He's very funn. Jimmy Kimmels cousin and used to be a writer for his show.
  15. Pretty cool if its true. Whats your gut feeling on it Matt?
  16. Bass, I meant why were you trying to sell the fish as five pounds. Speedbead said I think anyone can see my point, and you said true. He was trying to say that your fish is not 5lbs, and I have to agree. It is a nice fish though. If you think that fish is 5lbs i'm pretty sure you didn't weigh it. You are right about holding the fish different distances away will alter the appearance. However you took the picture of you holding the fish. My logic says it can only be an arm lengths away from the camera. Just more proof on RW's point that most unweighed 5 lbrs are really 3-3.5 lbs. Just take a second and look at the picture avid posted in his stick marsh post in the my outing section. Like I said though nice fish, and IMO an accomplishment that you caught it on a lure everyone seems to hate.
  17. Bass, Are you admitting that the fish is not 5lbs? If so why did you try to sell it as such at first? You caught a fish on the snakes. That my friend is more than anyone I have ever came across has accomplished.
  18. That pig explains why you wanted it fixed so bad.
  19. Thanks........I really want one, but that wasn't quite the ringing endorsement I was hoping for. I agree with you on the price going up. Seems like they are listed below market value to me.
  20. I have no doubt those are great reels, but i'm not in love with the colors either. The grips are very cool though.
  21. Very good point on the senko's. I was mostly wondering about the topwaters though. The main purpose if I bought the rod would be to have a good cranking rod when I did crank, but at this point in my fishing experience it would have to be able to do something else well. I just kind of threw the senkos in there hoping. Until Redline can give me his .02 do you have any opinions about it as a topwater(walk the dog) rod. I'm not very informed on exactly what the parobolic action rules out. I would think it would lend itself to walking the dog.
  22. I must admit I did not think your undefeated Jayhawks were for real at all. However, after so many clsoe games later year and actually watching them last night i'll admit they are much better than I thought. How long has it been since ya'll had a decent football team?
  23. Shame on you, Catt, this is a family site.
  24. Robert, I don't have a good crankbait rod at all. One that will work, but not great. However, I don't know that I crank enough to justify having one just for that. Do you think it would make a good rod for walk the dog type lures also and maybe senko type baits. I could totally make that work if I could use it effectively for just one other thing. Thanks, Matt

I'm not a big cranker, but it seems that Rapala's are the easiest to fish and catch the most. Only thing I caught fish on all day wed. until I switched to an *** ripper worm the last hour. It was a crazy day. The only hard bait they would hit was the rapala, and the worm for soft plastic.
