  1. Do you know anyone else that hammers the big girls on that lake? Maybe the bigguns come out to feed at night?
  2. Diawa, Steez reel on a Steez rod... ouch
  3. I probably own 20+ loomis rods, just bought a Steez (rod and reel, have not used yet), and a Kistler LTX (have not used), went fishing with a guide yesterday, fished with two of his Cumara rods. After the trip, went to the local baitshop and bought 2 Cumaras. Don't know what I am gonna do with the kistler and the steez, but am definitely gonna sell some loomis rods.
  4. How did you get a custom built Kistler Rod?
  5. TW is awesome and so is Loomis. I have broken 3 or 4 loomis rods and maybe paid for shipping once or twice.. can't remember...
  6. check at ***.com, then go down the side menu to swimbaits, click it, and scroll down, this will put all their swimbait rods and reels on the same page. Maybe this will help you see a selection of what is available.
  7. Basic marketing 101 by the rod companies.

  11. Fish the first structure past the ramp. Usually this is where the "tourney fish" hold. Next, diagonal across the lake is a big hump, that used to be an orchard, try it, (not exactly sure how to tell you to find it)
  12. Congrats, nice fish
  13. What is you top choice for smallie crankbait color(s)? for the various fishing seasons???
  14. I would first try a zoom lizard (6"), if non productive, go small, like a french fry or senko, then maybe a fluke
  15. you talking about a plastic jig or a hair jig?? You can put plastic trailer or pork trailer or nothing at all
  16. Don't know about blade colors, but just watched an Infisherman video on smallies, they talked about inline spinners and said smallies prefer to have a little hair on the the treble hook.. FYI.
  17. Are you fishing primarily from the back of the boat??
