Today's definition has become the tradition of downsizing everything. The aspect of presentation is not forgotten, just not the popular segment of discussion for this type of fishing anymore. I like it like this because it remains more solid for those who really get it.

My opinion is...for what you can get these rods for on sale, you won't do any better. I have 2 that I use and really like them, especially for what I paid for them.

I'm having fun with any bass over 12". Never ashamed of a 3lb average for a 5 fish bag in any event up here. Won't win too often but it's nothing to be ashamed of on any day. If I can bag 15lbs I've had a fun day!

Well, I don't know just how much I can require of them. But to give you a fair, straight answer....yes, at this point they do.

Yes. Just general use I guess. It works pretty good just every time I go get something new the look on these guys faces says "you are way behind in this technology stuff". Thing is, I don't know what I don't know....ya know? I don't know what more I could be doing with it.

I bought a flat screen monitor a couple years ago and thought I had arrived. Bought a wireless printer a couple weeks ago and thought the same. Bought a wireless keyboard and mouse today and figured I was coming out of the dark a bit more again. All this stuff is nice but I feel like I'm still way behind. What more can I do now for a continued advance in the pc world without blowing a big wad of cash? Does anybody have a computer setup just for dealing with your Lowrance HDS units? I am no geek and pretty much computer illiterate but I gotta get in the d**n game here......

I like them a lot so far. They are tacky, never slippery. When it comes to design questions, I'm unsure about the taper design vs just a standard round cylindrical style wrapped with Winn material. They are kinda big, and when I first got them I thought "I'm not gonna like these", but I got used to them in a hurry and really like them. I like the Daiwa TD-Z style knobs quite a bit too. It's been many years since I've used Shimano Septons so I can't compare those. When I get these new handles I'll be able to tell you more regarding direct comparisons to Daiwa knobs. I think I'm in trouble here now though, I like these Winn knobs and this could get expensive.

Not a fan. I can most certainly do without gators. If I never caught another in my life I'd be fine with that. Part of a really good day for me is NO gators caught and NO bite-offs. I would rather get skunked than catch a gator.

I hadn't bought anything for about 3 weeks....so, I bought a couple handles from Hawgtech with those totally sweet Winn grips. I have a couple of the 102mm swept w/winns on my old Shimano CA-200's. I ordered the 90mm and 94mm straights w/winns for a couple of my Daiwa this time.
