Mr. Twister 5" Fat Curly Grubs
Kalins for me too. Haven't tried the Mr Twister Fat Curly but I like their 4" Twintails for spinnerbait trailers and their 3" Sassy grub is a little killer too!

How Do You Hold Your Rods? - W/ Pics
I have never paid any attention to how I hold it. I hold it however I hold it, I guess. I don't think I even hold all mine the same. It might change depending on what I'm throwing on which rod/reel.

Have Not Owned An Exotic Car In A While. I'm Beginning To Get The Itch Again...
Cars are cool, but I hold with American muscle street machines. Exotics do nothing for me. But, what really gets me off my testicles is a moderately lifted truck.

Finesse Rod
It's not 6'10" but I think I could count on the 6'9" Avid ML/XF to throw 1/8 oz lures. I do it now with my AVC62MXF and a TD-Z. I think you should talk to DVT Mike about the 6'10" Med mod fast he built that I bought from him. I use it for light cranks but it could throw light jigs etc very well too. I think it's a Mudhole MHX blank. Loads really nice and yet has great response. It is probably very close to the Avid 6'9" MLXF I like it so much I may get another from him.

Hello Sam, glad you joined us here. Lots of good people and good times here.

Tube Jig Setup
I have been doing pretty well the past couple weeks draggin' Prowler Big Butts on 1/8 or 3/16 oz heads using 6 or 8 lb mono on a Daiwa TD-Z 105H mounted on a Cabela's Tournament ZX 6'9" Medium/X-fast rod. The Prowler Big Butt is a mouthful for a smallie. I've caught more on those big tubes than I have on smaller tubes.

Why Does It Matter If The Box Is Included?
I could never imagine passing up a good deal on a good reel because there is no original box for it! I do keep mine.

Lunker City Fin-S Fish
4" and 5 3/4". My favorite color is Smelt, but there are several others I like as well. I like a lot of Lunker City's products, really good quality baits!

What's Your Breakdown Of Fishing Gear Of Baitcasting And Spinning For Bass?
For now. We all claim to be practical but it really never works out that way. However, you will find practical reasons to buy more. I don't know my counts right now but I'm over 20 casting rigs and under 10 spinning with additional rods in reserve.

Where Are The Minnesotans?
I'm going back up north to chase smallies again this weekend.

What A Birthday!!
Happy birthday Hootie! I've always wondered what it's like to get gifts like that! What I do get quite often is "go fishing, why are you home?"

Where Are The Minnesotans?
Cold front coming this weekend! Yay! Get to dig out the finesse gear again, too much fun!

What Is The Best Multi-Use Rod Out Of These Actions?
I bought the 6'9" Jerkbait/Topwater and would consider it to be very versatile. To me, this rod is a M/XF at minimum and maybe even closer to MH. Very versatile stick and I do like the Winn grip. These rods are a sharp buy at sale price of $69!!

St. Croix Avid 6'2" Mxf
I use mine for jerkbaits.

Reel Dilemma
Sorta like this. Everybody slips up once in awhile. No big deal.

Reel Dilemma
Yes, that's what he meant and everybody else was able to get past it. Simple typo, no big deal.

Socked A Groundhog
Good shot Kevin! It's best to head shoot them fat chucks.

Relevency Between # Of Bearings And Reel Quality
I like to have 6 as my minimum in casting reels. 2 for spool, 2 for pinion, 2 for driveshaft. Have used many fine reels that only had 5 but I like to see 6 now.

Will G.loomis Ever Make $100-150 Range Rod?!
I don't feel I did with the GL3 I bought, and I didn't pay regular price for it. It is the only Loomis rod I've bought and it was a big disappointment to me. I don't think it's even as sensitive as my Shimano Compre. Works ok for spinnerbaits though.

Comparing The Tatula To Other Reels
It is like ***** slappin' with your mouth.

Comparing The Tatula To Other Reels
Mine don't have that problem and I don't think mine are different than any others. In fact, I've read of all the so called problems everybody builds into these and I've experienced none of them yet.

Comparing The Tatula To Other Reels
I don't know, I'm just weird like that about some things I guess.

Comparing The Tatula To Other Reels
Agreed. And those features disappeared with the Lexa and Exceler, which I can understand. With the MSRP of the Tat and Tat R I would want that free floating spool, especially with the R. If, as in my case, you desire the free floating spool design you now have to spend $300 for a Zillion to get it. All the Advantage series reels had it and they were all mid to upper mid offerings, same as Tat and Tat R. Most won't care, but I do, it's just something I like and prefer and I just wish the Tats had gotten it too. I suppose the trade comes with the T-wing being there. You want it ALL, buy the Zillion for 3 bills now.
