Wrong Technique
Now THAT is way off the track! Nobody is judging here....heck, that's cool and booted the skunk out too!

Zillion Vs Zillion Type R
I agree with hogsticker. Everything he said. My only experience with the 1016 spool is in my TD-Z 103P and it is incredible. If I had a fleet of TD-Z's a bunch of them would have that spool in it.

Your Favorite Person To Fish With
Fishing with young kids is the absolute most fun. That enthusiasm is potently contagious. I thank God every day out for that awesome experience!

Your Favorite Person To Fish With
I have brought up 2 boys around this sport. My oldest has moved out and has his own life going on but we still get out together a few times each year. My main partner for the last 7-8 yrs has been my youngest boy who is now 12. The boat never got wet without him in it. He got an x box for Christmas last year and now it's hard to get him out there. My Daughters ex-boyfriend fishes with me some also. He just completed his first year in club and won the AOY I think. I fish by myself a lot too, and while I enjoy it, I terribly miss my youngest not being there. I've gotten so used to having him there and have so enjoyed watching him progress, and he was getting very very good for a kid his age. Hopefully he'll be back soon but I think I'm facing a lot of boat time alone next year.

Do You Disinfect Your Fingers? Lol
I use Dial Gold. I don't get nothing more than a good case of bass thumb from handling bass. Alcohol sounds a bit extreme.

I have done that. I spent the month of Sept dragging big tubes for smallies with a rod labeled "jerkbait/topwater". Worked great!

Is There Really A Need For All Those Soft Plastics?
Yes, I do. I have a lot of stuff I don't need and I like it that way. One day I'm going to have more time to burn through it, I hope.

Daiwa Tdz 103H Clutch Spring Issues
Yes, I with agree Raul and Alonerankin2....send it to DVT. It's better to do that first than make the problem worse before you send it on. My apologies.

Next Reel After Tatula
So was I. Seems logical enough, especially considering what they can be had for. Great reel, I like mine.

Daiwa Tdz 103H Clutch Spring Issues
Yep. JB weld is worth a try. Drilling is going to be the biggest challenge with a bit that small. Will require some very steady hands and probably a Dremel to do it. Have to make sure you get proper depth also. It can be done, just have to take the time to do it right. Packing the JB weld in there could be fun too but it's possible. My question becomes this though....I have never seen this issue before and I wonder if something else could be wrong that caused it?

Daiwa Tdz 103H Clutch Spring Issues
Fill it and drill it. You can do a good job of it if you take the time and use the proper size drill bit. Worth the effort considering the cost of a new frame.

Daiwa Tdz 103H Clutch Spring Issues
Check your reel for the "clutch cam plate" and make sure it isn't missing.

Storing Fishing Tackle In The Cold?
Won't bother the rods none. Reels I would worry more about condensation forming inside from temp changes. Plastics? I wouldn't worry about those at all. Bring the reels in and tear them down for service this winter. It's something to do and you'll have plenty of time to do it.

Hybrid Rod
nice...creativity never hurts. I hope that works out for you just you want it to!

Just Bought My First Daiwas!
I was warned of this and I'm going to pass it on....you are ruined! You will like that TD-Z so much that you'll seek another. A new world will open and you'll create further reasons to buy yet another.....or 3. The "finesse" end of this is a whole lot of fun!! I spent all of my Sept weekends bangin' smallies on my finesse casters. If I wasn't ruined prior to that, I am now. Too much fun!!

Abnormal Level Wind Wear?
I would let go of any hope you have of finding that part in metal. Not gonna happen.

Jerk Bait Rod
I don't have the AVC68MXF (yet), but do I ever like the AVC62MXF for throwing jerkbaits! Absolute ideal jerkbait rod for me!

Tatula Love It
I have 2-H's and 1-P. Very impressed with performance after one season of use! They were far better than I thought they'd be!

Back Reeling.
You know, it isn't inconceivable to be able to back reel AND let the drag work in the same fight. All you gotta do hold the handle and let the drag kick in if they run faster than you can keep up with. Bass do not peel off long runs, they are not Tarpon or Salmon. I have back reeled plenty of 5+ lb pike that have made high burst runs and have never had a bass on that could match the burst speed of a big pike.

Back Reeling.
No shame, no regrets, I've done it for many years and will continue to do so.

St Croix Program
Sell it and buy a better one.

Wow!! Another Great Evening
Sure looks like those bass aren't going hungry! Nice belly shot! That pond fishing sure looks like a lot of fun! I'd love to experience that one day.

How Much More Resistant To Teeth Is Fc Vs Braid?
I don't see a fish! All I see is a bag of fertilizer with eyes.
