I just posted my sons pb he cought an 8.8 on a storm bluegill so I do think that you will catch big bass on small storm swim baits.Bob

I use wave worms and dont use o rings,and have never used them,I fish them untill they fall appart and put on another one.I save the old ones and when I need a different color, or just dont have any more I go into my used box and start again.I hook it off center,weedless or just bite off the end and keep fishing.No messing with anything but fishing.

We started out at 3am ,got on the water at 430 am,we cought some dinks and were talking about the thread on bluegill lures and how the bass this time of year are sitting in grass beds looking for bluegill,my son is going blind so I tied on a storm bluegill for him and 10 min. latter he cought a large snapping turtle,at about 9am we got to a rather large grass bed and wouldnt you know it 8.825lbs latter,He hooked his minnow, we finally landed it after a bit of coaching ,then the high fives and hugging started,dont tell him but I think I felt a tear or two coming down.I cant tell you how this makes me feel after all he has been through what this means to me,just to see him have so much joy.We prayed before we left for a big Bass and our prayer was answerd.Bob

As I said earlier I have used electronics and it is a great tool.As for your challange Im up for it ;)and your are probably correct you might win but it would be fun.I love a great debate and this one was great.some day I may put one back on my boat,but until I can afford one its all instinct.Thank you for the fun,Bob

So george according to you my ? leads you to believe that im a caveman.Im only saying that I find it more satisfying to catch my pb of 10.2 on instinct not on a video game.There are people that can and do catch larger than average fish consistantly without electronics.I knew this would be a hot topic but, I didnt think that I would be called a caveman for my thoughts ugh.

See thats what i was talking about,can you consistantly catch fish without the use of electronics? :)Be honest.

I was out on the lake last monday,and as I was having some coffee I noticed about 15 to 20 boats out there,everyone of them were going back and forth across the lake watching thier electronics,it made me wonder if that was the only way these guys could catch fish by being told were the fish are and just sit there all day until they caught them.I dont have elactronics on my boat,but I did at one point,I like useing instinct and my ability and expiriance of 30 something years of fishing to find fish.What do you guys feel about this?

Lots of good stuff, I dont think I have ever paid more than 70.00 on a rod and reel combo in my life,and that was to much.the last combo I bought was 21.95 diawa.I sometimes look at what other guys have and forget what ive got,and then I come back to reality,and keep catching fish.Thank you for the encouragement.Poor people catch fish to.Bob
