  1. The end segment of the show resulted in a changed channel, I was watching for fishing. To have someone try to give their religious was a turn off.
  2. For me it was 6lb test on a spinning setup, managebility was okay after being treated. The issue I had was breaking off fish, not huge fish just 16-17 inch fish. I tried a couple different knots, which did not help. The final straw was two fish lost on fresh knots in a tourney. Wish Yozuri I can foul hook large carp and not breakoff.
  3. Grimlin, I tried CXX on one of my 6lb test setups, it lasted two trips before I threw it all out and went back to Yozuri. Kept breaking off fish during the fight that should not have been lost.
  4. My boat has a couple places where it has bounced off a dock and damaged the gelcoat. One of these areas is right at the fiberglass underneath, is there a simple repair to hold off a full fix for awhile. Don't have the extra funds to do the full repair, unfortunately I am not good at this type of repair either....
  5. Either one is a great choice, if I was buying specifically for spinning I would go with the ultrasoft but use hybrid on spinning gear also without issue.
  6. You must have the unit connected to the starter battery, the draw down from starting the motor drops the voltage lower then the HDS5 needs.
  7. Smiths.R, I don't know of anyone local, when I need reel service I sent them to Delaware Valley Tackle. They are a sponser for the site, do great work, and offer a discount to BassResource members.
  8. Welcome, what part of Maryland are you from. If you haven't see it yet there is a Maryland Who's Who discussion in the Northeast section, a lot of good information and local guys.
  9. Rodgers 26-46, 264, 2 TD, 1Int Tebow 9-26, 136 How is that the same? Even without looking at the teams they were playing against. But Rodgers was against a good defense, while Tebow was playing against a team who gave up the 2nd most passing yards in NFL history. How many other QB's would be down multiple touchdowns in the 2nd half and the play calls were runs up the middle?
  10. This week the 3:16 reference may end up being 3 completions in 16 attempts....
  11. While there is certainly a portion of the bad press coming from people because of this show of faith, there is an equal or greater number of people praising him because of it. On a purely football standpoint for his position he is below average at this point in time. For him to be on a team playing in the superbowl will take a defense like those of the 85 Bears or Ravens in their Superbowl year and a big running game. And even that is a huge question mark until he can show a full game against stronger teams. Not a game where he gets to play pitch and catch in one quarter and one play in OT.
  12. Even Elway won't commit to Tebow. There was nothing hard about the throws he made last weekend. Not sure what defense Pittsburgh was trying to play, letting the receivers get behind them so much. Only guess they figured they would get pressure on Tebow so he wouldn't have time to make the longer throws. He was still only 10 for 21, with some very bad throws. Until he can play a full game and consistently make throws I will not believe he will be anything more then a media gimmick.
  13. Hearing all of these horror stories reminds me how lucky i am to have the MIL i do...
  14. Second vote for Bobby's Perfect Frog.
  15. Dilfer had a career pass completion over 50%, he would not win games but could be counted on to make a throw or two when necessary. Grossman is servicable just so inconsistant he cannot be trusted. Tebow is just horrible when he has to be a qb, his performance against some of the worst defense in the league proves that. Any other qb performing like he has would have been benched.
  16. Tebow is not a pro level qb, his stats over this year have proved it. Especially the last couple weeks, against the worse pass defense and weak teams. Games were won by defense, a kicker and he got the credit but i seem to remember someone else in denver who started 6-0 recently how did that work out.
  17. RW, did you see how "well" Tebow played last week when he actually had to be a QB? Their only hope is to keep KC close, and their defense has not played overly well recently either. The hopes of Denver do not rest on Tebow's shoulders.
  18. Its up to personal preference, but generally cent. are more "set it and forget it" while mag brakes may require more adjustment for wind/lure weight. I personally have all cent.
  19. A little off topic, but I went from a Droid Incredible to a Galaxy Nexus with the new Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android. Can't really say much about battery life yet, I know it won't be good while using 4g, but this thing is crazy fast (13.6 mps download) in my office which some phones don't get signal. The new software seems very well done, this is my first Android phone without another companies UI on it so that may be part of it. But it is well done.

I think it was Dan Fouts who said "I see good young running quarterbacks, but no good old running quarterbacks". Or something close to that....
  21. Droid all the way...
  22. While fishing a buzz frog I will stop if I get to the edge of a hole in the weeds. Get some huge strikes sometimes as the bait changes course and speed.

I find it hilarious that Tebow gets all the credit during the streak, the long field goals, defensive play and such gets nothing. Then when they lose and he completes only 11 passes against the worst defense in the NFL the headline says don't blame him.

He has to start playing full games, trying to survive off of comebacks is a good story but won't last. To do that he has to widen his skill set into a more "NFL" QB. Only time will tell if he can do that. I can see Denver using him as trade bait to get something and drafting another QB. Denver is a team who wants championships and it has been awhile since they were at that level. Unless something drastically changes it doesn't seem like their management thinks he is the one to lead them to the ultimate prize.
