What kind of paint?
it doesnt really matter what kind of paint you use, because you'll be putting some kind of protective clear coat over the paint (whether its epoxy, flex coat, dick nites, or what ever). acrylic paint is cheap (50 cents a bottle) and easy to find, that might be a good paint to start with.

Who Are These People?
i was looked down at the list of members online and i looked at the color key off to the right, and i noticed some "groups" of people that i've never ever seen online or never seen any posts by them. Official Tackle Junkie? Roadtrip Coordinator? Bassresource.com Staff? are there actually any members with these titles?

Question about R2S V-Joint Minnow Wake
far from junk. so it may not be a wake bait in the sense of the word, but it still catches fish. :-?

Wolf Spider Fangs
found a dead wolf spider in the class room and was checking it out under a microscope. it looked freakin sweet. i ripped the fangs out of it with tweezers and took pictures of the fangs using macro setting, 3x optical zoom on the camera, and a 10x jeweler's loop infront of the camera lens. they're pretty cool looking.

Question about R2S V-Joint Minnow Wake
i got 2 v-joint wake minnows. i love them they dont wake, they dive around 1-2 feet, and they suspend.

Killer Bluegill Dough
reason for using flour/oil instead of flour/water is because flour/oil isnt water soluable. if you put flour/water on your hook, as soon as it gets wet it will just go mush and fall off the hook WAY too easily. with oil, the water doesnt mix with the bait and it holds its shape and stays on the hook. im not sure if breadcrumbs are really necessary, after all, the bait is practically bread itself, but you could try it!

What is a stick bait??
i call senko style baits soft stickbaits. i've also heard hard topwaters like the rapala original minnow being called stickbaits. i dont call the rapala original a stickbait though.

Which Picture?
went down to the creek to take some pictures and check a trap. nothing in the trap, got some cool pictures though. this is a picture of fast shallow water over gravel and clay. it was taken with a long time exposure of 0.5 seconds. then i went in photoshop and messed around with a few settings. which picture do you like better? original: enhanced: personally, i like the enhanced one better.

Most fun bass I've ever caught!
thats pretty neat. heres a tip you might like: if you go to walmart or dicks or where ever and pick up a pack of the strike king 3x Zero's, take them out of the package, and just stretch them as far as they will possibly go. make sure you stretch the entire bait. you probably wont be able to totally stretch it in one pull, you'll probably have to stretch the back 1/3 of it, the middle, and the front. but anyway, after it has been completely stretched out, it will float! then you can twitch it along the surface just like a topwater bait. nice fish, congrats.

Have you ever caught a bass with no help from the hook??? I did.

Just Couldn't Get Enough...
that happened to me a few weeks ago, except it was on a long cast and about midway through the reeling, it looked like it was all out of fight and i was reeling it over the surface, then when i went to go and land it, it worked its magic and out came the hook :-? sucks don't it? :-[

Mini Bluegill
the tail is pretty neat. i came up with it all on my own, i haven't seen anyone else do a tail like this, so i think its safe to call it my original design. i'm going to do a tutorial for it soon, i guess you'll just have to wait till then.

Just Couldn't Get Enough...
yes there are black flakes but the color is just called green pumpkin. its a really good worm. green pumpkin and junebug are my two favorite colors for this worm. i was using it weightless, i've never used this worm with a weight. Sam, i hooked a 3lber shortly after, and i had it right on shore, its head was out of the water on the bank, i reached down to lip it, and the hook came flying out of its mouth. i was pretty p.o.'d

Mini Bluegill
tried it out today. i was suprised to see that it actualy had some action on just a plain steady retrieve! on a straight retrieve, this thing had incredible body roll. it would roll 180° on the retrieve. it would go from vertical to having the entire left side facing up, and then the entire right side facing up, and back and forth like that. not the most realistic swimming action, but kinda neat. it also has a pretty good darting action when twitched along.
