  1. very cool: http://www.fieldandstream.com/article_gallery/Airborne-Bass-Chasing-Dragonflies-Above-The-Surface/1
  2. not me. i just grabbed the pic from a random website.
  3. it took about 2 hrs start to finish, not including epoxy drying times. thats a heck of a lot easier than a swimbait
  4. oh, ok. thats good
  5. now they're green again?!?!? maybe its just my computer.... :-?
  6. is it just me or did most of the links change from green to blue? the links to click on someones profile, private messages (at the top), the link to go to last unread messages, they're all blue, and turn purple when they've been clicked. i liked the green better... :-[
  7. well yesterday my mom made me clean the garage, and seeing the workbench so clean made me want to make a bait : i didn't really feel like making a swimbait, so i just made something easy. i really like the way this one looks. its a new photo i got, and it really matches the hatch to those tiny bluegills that over-run the shallows of the local lakes. im hoping to get a nice darting action out of it...will report back later with what kinda action it has. this bait measures 2 5/8" from nose to tail the bait: i weighted it just right so it sits on its nose, should be good for bed fishing in the spring:
  8. i dont care who caught it or what kinda gear they were using, its a nice fish regardless! and im pretty sure this is a scanned photo (looks that way) and that "rod" infront of him is actually just a crease in the photo. i say this because there are no "guides" on the "rod". also, it looks like there is another crease to the left of the one in the middle. anyway, its a nice fish, no need to get all caught up on how it was caught.
  9. I don't think anyone was saying it looked like a mount, I think the question about the mount was posed to answer why he was standing in a driveway with the fish as opposed to releasing it, but that's a whole other can of worms that has been discussed and argued in the past. yup
  10. i would burn shallow cranks over the weeds, or fish with weedless plastics.
  11. reel cover wouldnt have prevented this. he dropped it on a rock while fishing (landing a bass). it'd be hard to fish with the reel cover on.... POTOMACBASS: if the reel still works fine i wouldn't worry about it too much. looks dont matter much in fishing reels, functionality does
  12. nice fish. did he get it mounted or something?
  13. metallica black sabbath led zeppelin AC/DC johnny cash deep purple
  14. tie it to some more braid with a uni-uni knot and spool it up.
  15. Dave, I didn't make myself very clear. That is indeed a gripper only and it has a hole in one of the handles. So I use it to grip the fish, put the scale hook through the handle hole and subtract the weight of the gripper (4 oz.). oh gotcha. thats a good idea
  16. you got that right you could use this dough as carp bait too, im sure it would work.
  17. i can't believe you left out the REDNECK BASS BOAT
  18. for the photofinish i printed out the image (after i changed the shape a little bit. then i cut it out and glued it to a piece of foil tape and put that on my lure. to add the weights i drilled holes in the bottom of each piece and stuck a split shot into each hole. you could drill holes and put in glass rattles if you wanted to. to link the segments, i used twisted loops of stainless steel wire. thanks for your complements!
  19. We call this "Beer Pong" at my apartment.
  20. thanks guys. still no video yet, but its coming, dont worry! i'll try and get a video tomorrow, depends what the water clarity is like...
