  1. not true. no matter how good of a tier you are, your threads can still get ripped on fishs' teeth or just get frayed from regular use. why superglue? because its freakin strong thats why! ;D it wont go into the hair as long as you dont put any right on the hair. if you only put superglue on the threads, it soaks into the threads but it doesnt soak into the hair like you're thinking (it doesnt run up the hair similar to how water will run up a paintbrush if you dip the ends of the bristles into the water) superglue will make your thread wraps rock hard. and x2 at getting jig tying thread. you need something pretty strong when you are tying down all that thick bucktail. GSP will be great, but its pretty expensive as far as thread goes. if you're careful you might be able to get away with using 3/0 thread.
  2. i always keep a 4/0 hook on my worm rod and just switch plastics (usually use a trick stick though) and then i always have a clip tied on my crankbait rod so that i can quickly switch cranks. i will usually be using a Rapala DT of some sort depending on the depth im fishing. its usually a DT 03 or DT 06.
  3. HAHA! ;D thats great
  4. i'm a little behind the crowd, but i finally watched this movie. i downloaded it, put it on my Zune, and watched it on the bus ride to school. the movie was alright. it was pretty funny in a very G rated kind of way. i enjoyed it if you want to watch it, this is the site i went to to watch/download it: http://video.supernovatube.com/divx.php?viewkey=b956f0dc878813298670
  5. super glue hands down! just put a drop or two of super glue on the threads and then spread it around the threads with the tip of the nozzle. kicks the crap out of any head cement i've ever used.
  6. i laugh real hard every time this comes up. its a great video!
  7. i photofinished it this morning. turned out pretty nice. this might take a little bit longer to finish because i am going to put epoxy on the pieces 2 at a time, so it may be a little while before its done. im not in a rush, i'd rather have a nice bait than a quickly finished bait heres a pic of the bait before epoxy (sorry for the blurr...)
  8. ...this facepalm moment was brought to you by... ;D
  9. when i JB'd the seam on the hull of my boat, as soon as we put it in the water and got in the boat, the stuff popped right off... i dont reccomend it. you would be better off actually welding the crack.
  10. come crawling faster obey your master

  12. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! ROFLCOPTER 2XD!!!! ;D
  13. been waiting to test it before i finished it. i finally got out on the water tonight to test it. it swims like a snake! very fluid action, only downside is that it doesnt start swimming until a fairly fast pace. tried to get a video but i failed :-[ ;D gonna put the photofinish on it tomorrow
  14. well first i must say I ENDED MY 1 MONTH 1 DAY SKUNK STREAK!!! thats right, last time i caught a fish was august 12. anyway, went down to st. mary's lake this evening. first order of business was to test my new 4pc. lipless swimbait. it is probably the best swimmer i've ever made! it swims in such a fluid motion, looks just like a snake. only problem is that i have to reel pretty fast before it starts to swim. so that was a success, but the fishing was terribly slow. we went about 1 hr 45 min without a single fish. i caught the first fish when we pulled into a shallow grassy cove. i was showing my dad which bag the bush bugs were in and i wasnt paying attention to my trick stick which was in the water. after he found the bush bugs, i reeled up some slack to find a pleasant suprise on the other end unfortunatley, it was gut hooked cuz i wasnt paying attention so he swalowed it. it was difficult to do the "thru-the-gills" manuever on this bass because it was so tiny (about 9") that i couldnt really turn the hook around in his mouth. i did get the hook out though, and the bass floated :-/ but about 5 min later he splashed real hard and disappeared, so i dont know what exactly his fate was... didnt get a picture of it... then it was about another 30-40 min without the slightest bit of action. we went up a creek past some stumps and i caught this little guy on a DT-10. Dad made me laugh just before he took the picture : that one measured 12" about 10 minutes after that, my dad hooked this nice keeper (14") on a white/red spinnerbait: very shortly after that, i was casting parallel with the shoreline, and i had the DT-10 right by the boat, reeling up to make another cast when something absolutley HAMMERED IT! it was a solid hookset too. felt like a huge bass. it went straight for the bottom under the boat and i couldnt get it off the bottom! some big bubbles came up and thats when we realized it was a turtle : after much pulling i finally brought the behemoth to the surface. heres a pic of the turtle: that little lure in his armpit is my 2" long DT-10, so that turtle is about 20" long based on the size of the lure! my dad said "should i get an oar?" and i said "yeah! get the oar!" so he grabbed the oar and just popped the turtle in the face with it! i said "what are you doing!? dont hit the turtle, get the lure!" right after i said that, the turtle latched onto the oar and left dents in the oar after the turtle let go, my dad popped the lure off the turtle and it swam under. that was definitley the most exciting part of the night after that "incident" my dad got another 14.5" on the spinnerbait (he was starting to really like that lure): it was beginning to get dark, so i suggested that we move over to a shallow cove to try and get some shallow feeders. went into a cove with my DT-03, and about 3rd cast in the cove i got a tiny little bass that was probably 10". didnt measure it or get a picture. it was dark by now so we headed in. about halfway between the cove and the boat ramp i decided to chuck out the DT-03 and troll for a bit. not even 2 minutes after i started trolling, i got the biggest fish of the night! ;D 15.5" tonights outing sucked really bad at the beginning and was looking hopeless, but it turned out not bad after all
  15. its tough for me to pick out a favorite but i think it would either be suicide & redemption or the unforgiven III. all nightmare long and broken, beat, & scarred are both really good though...
