  1. hey guys, anyone fish this lure: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=44344&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults i think it looks great. i really like the description of the action. ayone know how to fish it or have any tips? is it a good lure for bass in ponds? thanks guys.
  2. well HURRY UP I WANNA SEE IT!!!!! ;D how does this "poor man's patent" work anyway? could someone elaborate?
  3. If someone cannot learn/figure out the depths or sizes by the time the marker wears off then maybe that person shouldn't have cared in the 1st place. which is exactly why i never mark my crankbaits. i can tell just from looking at them how deep they will run.
  4. i dont mark the depths on my cranks, but if i did, i wouldnt use a sharpie. i'd scratch the depth in w/ a small needle or something sharp. it would last longer (sharpie will eventually wear off) and it would be less noticable.
  5. 1.) fish it, dont worry about it (the fish sure wont) 2.) rip the other eye off and call it even 3.) go to the fly shop/craft store and pick up a sheet of holographic stick on eyes and stick one of those on and then put a little bit of 5min epoxy over boty eyes so they wont fall off. if your worried the new eye wont match the existing one then rip both off and replace both with the new eyes. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_63311_175004004_175000000_175004000_175-4-4
  6. heres my take on it: the chatterbait came out to give crankbait action to a jig/spinnerbait type lure. ok cool the chatterstick come out to give crankbait action to a crankbait....what is the purpose in this? crankbaits already have crankbait action, no need for a blade on them.......

terminator pros top secret jig. and my own hair jigs.
  8. hookemdown, im sure you mis-typed, but there is no such thing as the kickin shad. there is the kickin slab (bream lure) and the kickin minnow (baitfish swimbait) the kickin slab has no action. it sinks very fast. way too fast. in order for me to get the slightest amount of wiggle out of it i have to be reeling it in very fast. so fast that it isnt in the strike zone long. the plastic is so tough that the "joints" in the plastic do nothing, except take away from the overall durability of the lure. the kickin minnow on the other hand is a great lure. it sinks kinda fast, but not as fast as the slab. it has great action. the plastic is soft and the joints make it very lively in the water. only thing is, since the joints are very thin, the lure is not durable. only a few fish on each bait. since theyre pretty inexpensive i suggest picking up several kickin minnows. most of storms stuff is very low quality and pretty bad. the slab is one of them. the kickin minnow i like. but i dont like much else from storm.
  9. these lures suck pretty bad. they have about 0 action. just my experience...hopefully you will have better ones.
  10. glue stick around the edges of the tissue paper and stick it to the regular paper.
  11. i get excited to fish the spawn! its so fun and a great way to catch a biggun! but like others have said i do a quick measurement, a few photos, and back in the water she goes.
  12. why are you needing to thread line thru the level wind eye of your reel when youre on the water anyway? the only time i thread line thru that is when im spooling up, and i never spool up on the water. anyway, vic your post confused the crap out of me :-? but a bobbin threader for fly tying will work nicely for you.
  13. thanks millerman. the link on the tackleunderground wouldnt work, so i emailed him.
  14. i use foil tape (adhesive backed foil) and it comes in rolls like duct tape, and you can get it pretty much anywhere. i got mine at true value, but im sure places like lowes, home depot, walmart, etc. would have it.
  15. i saw this one on Country Fried Home Videos on CMT a week or so ago. pretty neat! there was also a guy who made artwork out of peoples dirty back windsheilds.
  16. when i google my screenname i just get results from all of the forums that im registred on. :
  17. a few seconds ago i saw a thread called "this is cool" (forget who started it) and it had no replies. well i clicked on it and i got a message "an error has occured: you are not allowed to view this" or something along those lines. i was like I don't understand? never had that happen before. when i went back to the everything else board, the thread was gone. did anyone else just experience this?

How does one go about making a mold out of bondo?
  19. it sure is its redonkulous if you ask me. they have pretty much the same apperance as a boot tail shad lure (sassy shad type lure) which have been around for a while and nobody made a big deal about them. sure the shad lures have a wider profile but you could trim them. but im not here to start a heated debate on paddle tails so im just gonna shut up now :-X
  20. my lure that i was sucked into is the good ole' jig. no lie i fish this lure soooooo much (so maybe it has hit the water) but i have never got even a bump out of them. :-/
  21. sexy shad is so overrated. chartruese shad has been around for a long time and nobody made a big deal about that! paddle tail tubes are also getting old IMO. im getting tired of seeing them all over the place.
  22. go out and buy (5) Footloose (3) 100 series (3) 200 series and (3) 300 series, all in Louisianna Shad, and you will be a happy man
  23. i saw the commercial once, but now, [not] sadly, i cant remember what it was. but i DO remember it was annoying. i forgot about the website by the time i got back to a computer after seeing the commercial. but i did visit the [retarded] website after viewing this thread : i have to see the commercial on youtube now to refresh my memory of how much i hated it ;D
  24. i think this is th first field tested review of this lure i've seen. thanks for the good review man! i think i'll be pickin one up now. on rapalas website, they say it runs 0-6". does it sink down deeper than that? and can it still walk several feet down?
