  1. cool. cant wait to see it when its done. be sure to post up pictures when youre done. im about to make a shad swimbait, thinkin of using a chain for the joints instead of loops or pins.
  2. Dude, sexy? What, are you Paris Hilton? LOL Just messing with you... I remember that thing, it was pretty sweet looking... yes i am paris hilton do you have a problem with it :-* ;D lol!!!!!! i plan on making a 6 or 7 inch shad swimbait using your joint method MaxDal. yesterday i saw a big ole gizzard shad floating on the surface so now i know what some of the forage base is in that lake.
  3. you dont need to resize them. Bass Resource resizes them automatically. if you click on a persons name (use mine for example) to see their profile, you will notice that the avatar appears in full size in their profile. but it automatically shrinks it when its displayed on the forum. however, if the person went ahead and shrunk the picture themselves, then it will appear shrunk in their profile. bassinassin, all i could tell you would be to make sure that the box is checked next to the url you pasted, and also, make sure youre copying the correct URL from photobucket, i always use the direct link and it works fine.
  4. nice fish! looks about 19-20 inches and about 4.5-5lbs.

  7. caught this one today (3/16/08), about 3 feet deep in 10 foot of water on a rapala subwalk; she went 20 inches and 4.0lbs weighed on a reliable berkley 50lb digital scale: fish weight: 4.0lbs MD state record: 11.125lbs 4.0/11.125x100=35.96

  9. subwalk caught me a 20 inch 4lber today. 7 bucks well spent!!! invest in one
  10. bravo! great story. its good to be a bass fisherman
  11. i dont have a net, i dont have room for a net, and i dont plan on getting a net. so i never use nets
  12. put it in boiling water for 1-3 minutes and then put it in cool water untill it is completely cooled off. read the last paragraph on this page: http://mattlures.com/fishingtips.htm
  13. ok, i have been fishing (and skunked) 4 times already this year, but today ended the streak. i caught some bass. in january at BPS my dad and i split the cost of a fishfiner for the jon boat. we spend yesterday setting it up, and today was our first time out using it. today, it was low to mid 40's, and the wind was strong, 20mph, so it was very uncomfortable and cold and we were blowing all over the place, our anchor wasnt holding in the wind. the fish finder was awesome though because we were able to eliminate some unproductive water that we normally would have wasted our time on. well the deepest part (10ft.) was where all the fish were. i casted out my brand new subwalk on my brand new crankbait combo that i got for christmas. three casts later...FISH ON!!!! it felt like a really good one, and after a small, lethargic fight, i could see its outline a few inches under the water and then it rose to the top and made a mighty head shake, mouth gaping wide. i eased it to the boat and lipped this bad boy: 20", 4lbs on the nose, largemouth bass!!!! i was so happy. this was my first time catching a fish since november. this fish is also in my avatar. so then i changed from the subwalk to a silver DT-06, and i caught 3 more bass over a few hours. none of any size, but still great to have on the other end of my line: my dad also caught two fish today. he caught one trolling and another on a steady retrieve. both on a red craw rat-l-trap. (he always blinks in the photos : ;D) so all in all it was an amazing day!!!! it felt so good to be back to catching fish! enjoy! tight lines
  14. the thick stuff that gives the bass a chance to cool off in the shade...lilies, hydrilla, weeds, etc. a close second would be deep water
  15. im not really sure what im looking at here???? could someone please explain what went wrong?
  16. YOU DEFINITLEY WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
  17. after some reading it turns out he didnt even measure the length or girth! wow. http://www.swordfishingcentral.com/bass-world-record.html
  18. yup. that bass was 25.1lbs and i forget the dimensions on it. he snagged it below the dorsal fin on a white jig while sight fishing for it. i couldnt imagine pulling one of those out of the water. that thing is SCARY BIG!!! and some might not know this, but that isnt even mac weakly in the photo. mac caught the fish but had his buddy who was a pro guide or something hold the fish, because mac's friend had more fish handling experience and mac was afraid of dropping the fish. i always found that interesting.
  19. anything with a lead head and a skirt
  20. MaxDal made a sexy jointed wooden swimbait a few weeks ago...ask him for some help.

  22. nope i dont think he even fished with it.
  23. not a single one of those looks like a baby bass. sorry. you can find some MUCH better baby bass swimbaits out there. but if you have your heart set on a storm wildeye swim shad, then try the suspending version, it comes in a baby bass color: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_44457_100007007_100000000_100007000_100-7-7
