  1. this video made me laugh!!!! i thought it was for real at first! ;D give it a watch
  2. here is a link to the reviews: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1203302262/0
  3. my go to when times are tough would be a 4" *** in junebug. in a VERY close second would the the original floating rapala in silver size 11. seems i can always squeak out a few on this bait when i fish it in cover.
  4. wow man great fish! maybe i can get one like that this spring : ;D hope you saved a few copies of the pic before you whited em out
  5. lol WOW that was funny111! that should seriously be a requirement for new users to watch before the registration process ;D
  6. wow that is interesting. i usually fish my plastics to the death....i cant think of any time that i actually have had in my possesion a plastic bait that i couldnt rig up. usually they will fall off underwater or get thrown off by a fish or something along those lines. when i was in South Carolina over the summer i caught a 21 inch bass that only weighed 2 and a half pounds. i wonder if it had plastics in its belly???? it sure did crush my risto rap though ;D
  7. i bought two of them and fished them in the dead of winter (no fish caught) but they swim GREAT!!!!!! i cant wait to fish these when the water temps start to rise!
  8. it will usually say on the package the actual depth, but a rule of thumb: the smaller and more vertical the lip is the shallower it will run; the bigger and more horizontal the lip is the deeper it will run.
  9. yup i gotta agree, culprits 10 and 12 inch are very hard to beat. however, if you can still find them (discontinued) riverside made some 9 or 10 inch big wag worms. those are my favorite!
  10. got home from dicks. i whooped the bait monkeys tail. i only left with 2 rapalas i got 20% off a regular xrap and full price on the subwalk. the 20% sale at my store only included reg. xraps and xrap shads. at dicks, the subwalk was 7.29, just like at cabelas. but it seems everywhere else they are 9.99?
  11. aww this sucks. i miss Cajun1977. he was a great man. he had very good character. he was very kind to everyone. he did a great thing for me. i wish he would come back. :-/
  12. hey sounds like you had a great day. on a side note, about how many fish per bait do you get out of those lake fork magic shads? (<----anyone can answer that) they dont seem durable :-/
  13. Maximum by Aeropastale. sometimes Nautica Competetion if im runnin low on Maximum. i hate AXE so much. they might as well re name it A**....that stuff stinks!!!
  14. sweet. im glad for you! i remember when i first started too. its a great feeling learning to cast on the baitcaster. casts are much easier. the free spinning spool allows much more line to peel off much easier than the fixed spool on a spinning reel which has alot of friction for the line to come off. cant wait till you get your citica! hope you like it as much as i like mine!!
  15. crankbait because they are pretty darn effective, but mainly cuz theyre FUN!!!!!
  16. there ain't no rules on how to do it man! you can do anything on that lure. it doesnt matter what kind of paint you use because it will be covered with epoxy when youre finished. just be sure to give it two coats of Devcon 2-ton epoxy when youre finished re painting it.
  17. on my worm and jig casting rod i use 50lb PowerPro (moss green) on my crankbait casting rod i use 15lb Yo Zuri Hybrid (clear)
  18. yeah i throw the light unweighted balsa rapalas on spinning gear too. just too much of a hassle to try and use casting gear when i have a spinning rod right there that i can toss it on.
  19. oh my god i saw a preview for that lure on tackletour and it looks so sweet!!!!!! they are expensive though. too much for me. :-/
  20. dont feel like taking a screen shot of my desktop but here is the picture i have set for the background:
  21. what bait was it?
  22. RAPALA!!!!!! $7 for a rapala is money well spent. rapalas are top notch baits easily worth $10+ IMO. if you dont like $7 a bait then bandits are pretty good cranks too, but rapala are MUCH better and rapala has a wider variety of baits available.
  23. yeah the husky jerks are way too classic to remove from production. youre safe.
  24. if u just gotta fix a small split, then add a thin coat of Devcon 5 min epoxy. it will start to set up in 5 minutes and i think it cures in ilke 2 hrs. there is no need for the 2 ton (which takes near 8 hrs to cure i think) if your just doing such a small job.
  25. ok this sounds like a good bait. i might pick one up if i see one (dont think i have). so is it more of a walking bait or does it have lots of other attractive action (jumping splashing diving popping etc) that other walking baits dont have?
