  4. thanks bilgerat, yeah i was trying to arc it slightly. the pipecleaner thing is a good idea, but i imagine it would waste a lot of paint as it would just soak up the paint i put on there....
  5. i kinda wanna make one of those now, just for the fun of it.....
  6. thanks guys. i need to work on my freehand details though... the lateral line just didn't look right taped off and i couldn't get a stencil to work out for me, so i decided to free hand it and it turned out pretty wavy but i tried to fix it with some more paint, turned out alright in the end i guess.
  7. haha even this is hard to follow! it looks really cool though. maybe you could do a photo step by step of the process. reminds me of lizard or snake skin. ;D

    grizzly *** beards are better.
  10. that 2nd one with the fine scales and large scales is very awesome. i'm sitting here trying to figure out the order you painted that one, but i just can't lol i think i got it! you must have sprayed the black (or dark) basecolor, then laid down fine mesh and wide mesh right on top of it, then sprayed the whole thing in that yellowish green, then removed the large mesh sprayed over the sides in that blueish green. am i right?

dude just never shave again and grow a grizzly *** beard, shaving is a pain in the ***.
  12. devcon, etex, flex coat, DN, target coatings can all be used without a spray gun. actually most clear coats are used without a spray gun.
  13. i haven't used it but i doubt it would hold up well. take a factory bait and just dip it in the polyurethane and get a few coats on there. then fish with it and see how it holds up.
  14. academy selling online will be awesome.
  15. 8' is a good length, 3 weight rod/line/leader is fun for panfish! small topwaters are awesome for panfish, from dry flies to foam spiders.

  18. simple. looks like shad to me.
  19. I don't see what one has to do with the other. So you're an advocate of people buying guns, but not understanding how powerful they are, and what they are capable of? I was just curious. To someone that doesn't know much about airguns, fps don't really mean much other than the higher the #, faster it goes. I see they range from 200-1200+, trying to make the right decision, and pick up the one that will be right. Nothing wrong with educating myself a little in the process. no, you should know about your gun. what i said was in regards to this statement "Is there some kind of general rule, like 100fps won't go through paper, 200 will leave a small welt, 700 will penetrate skin, etc?"
  20. if you're using it for target and small game, why do you need to know what all the different FPS equate to? just get the highest you can (1000+). this is what you want for hunting and it doesn't hurt to have this power at the range.
  21. 13° when i woke up this morning :
  22. the A-team is not the A-team without Mr. T... :-/
