  5. cool but unnecessary. and like mike said, easy to make yourself.
  6. they look good from the pics. no wrinkles or anything! they're not clear coated yet? they will look 10x better with clear, especially if you put foil underneath!

paint a base color of what you want to appear between the scales (black for instance). heat set this layer. <--- important step: if you don't heat set it, then the paint has a high chance of rubbing off during the next steps... then wrap the bait in mesh of your choice (aquarium netting, cheese cloth, wedding tulle, bait net, cargo net, etc.) and spray the color that you want the scales to appear (silver for instance) lightly (not too light but not too heavy) through the mesh. wait several seconds (30+) for the paint to dry before removing the mesh. thats just basic, you can get creative with it however you want; different size mesh on the same bait, different colors/fading, etc. i've seen a few people on tackleunderground using a little halfmoon stencil do do overlapping scales like you'd see on a carp. i'm not quite sure how they do this (other than the stencil that they move up and down the bait) but it produces a cool effect.
  8. ROFLMAO because that just came from a skinny little cracka... ;D
  9. i only drink santana champ. cuz its so crisp
  10. dark first milk second. don't like white.
  11. ah, yes, its a Daisy Powerline 1000. its not the best gun, its actually kinda junky. the trigger pull is ridiculously heavy (anybody know if/how i can change this?), the gun is very loud when shooting (not really a problem for me), and it has a lot of recoil for an airgun (which is why im having trouble with the scope). i'm sure the scope/rings are of inferior quality too. im going to tape up these scope rings and try it again, because i think i have the scope staying put on the dovetail now that i put it ahead of that stopper thing. if it still doesn't work, im going to get new rings and put them in front of that stopper the first time around, so they don't get ground down again.
  12. everything was tight, i think what i'll do is replace the rings, and try the electrical tape trick. should i use loctite on any of the screws?
  13. you just made me want Wendy's hardcore...
  14. since when are we rivals? and its easy to refer people to TU, and since the entire TU site is dedicated to lure building, instead of one subtopic, there is often more information there. also, sometimes there are current threads there that are very applicable to the subject at hand here. but you're right, it doesn't do much good to ONLY refer people to TU. oh, btw, its up and running again.
  15. i'm having some trouble mounting the scope on my airgun so it won't move around when i shoot. the problem used to be it would slide back with each shot, but then i noticed this little thing ontop of the dovetail and i'm pretty sure you're supposed to put the scope in front of that to stop it from sliding back. so i did and that seemed to work. but the damage is already done, on the part of the rear scope ring that actually grabs the dovetail, its really really ground down from sliding under pressure. and i have another problem, the scope is rotating inside the rings! any help? all of this movement is making it impossible to sight the gun in.
  16. whats up with the site today? did they forget to pay the bill this month? ;D
  17. hahahahahahaha awesome! "they always gotta ____ on themselvesssss!"
  18. don't know if its what you're looking for but www.dvdvideosoft.com has an AWESOME free software suite. its mostly conversion type stuff, or at least that what i use it for. i also use it to extract audio in mp3 from youtube. there might be some editing stuff in it.
  19. aren't they like 7 bucks :-?
  20. please don't release fish back into the wild!
  21. lol this fish does have a personality. shes a big ole softy. mostly just roams aimlessly about the tank while the others are under the log. gets pushed around by my big pumpkinseed (who is smaller than the bluegill). when i walk up to the tank holding the bag of pellets this fish is always the first to the top and usually tries to not let other fish have any. this one sure eats the most out of all of them too! but "capt. shiny sides" the big pumpkinseed is the most aggressive. no steroids, just good quality pellets but this fish's growth sure has taken off! its a solid inch bigger than the next biggest fish (pumpkinseed), and i got them around the same time when they were the same size.
  22. its super easy! and fun. you just need a big enough tank (55 gallons +), room temperature water, sufficient filtration, and some natural decor providing plenty of cover. for food, get them trained on a high quality pellet diet early on and feed them that as a staple, but toss in any bugs or worms whenever you find them, feed other live food like minnows and aquatic insects every so often, and give them some kind of frozen treat once a week. thats all i do! oh but i don't recommend bass unless you are very serious about it, because they require huge tanks (300 gal minimum), they eat A LOT (gets expensive) and they make a big mess, so top notch filtration is required. this isn't to say its impossible to keep a bass, just takes a lot more dedication.
  23. lunker punker isn't a swimbait. its not even jointed! its just a big bait.
