  1. aquarium netting
  2. he's also a police officer :
  3. long screw eye or twisted stainless steel loop. whichever you use, be sure to epoxy it in.
  4. i always have a BPS speed snap in black finish tied on my crankbait rod. idk the size, but its pretty small. when i'm using the snap, i remove the split ring off the line tie, because i've found that with the split ring and the snap it makes the bait sit nose down and sometimes even start sinking when it should suspend or something along those lines. maybe i'm just ocd about it. but anyway, since the snap is not tight against the line tie like a knot would be, it allows your crankbaits to wobble more. i also use them on my little swimbaits i make.
  5. looks pretty sharp
  6. w00t! i was tied for closest! so matt, how about that bait you were using
  7. nice job. i still can't manage any jig fish...
  8. so basically baits with no inserts are the best, and these have smooth edges inside. and baits with inserts are of lesser quality, and if you were to take the insert out, the edges would be rough inside, so you should keep them in?
  9. looks good it does need a gill.
  10. why is it that some companies boast that they have a plastic insert in their tungsten weights while others boast that they don't have inserts? tru-tungsten claims that no inserts provides greater sensitivity, which makes 100% sense to me. so which is better? insert or no?
  11. Tranny Goldfish ;D:
  12. you're gonna need a big *** tank, much more than 200 gallons. probably more like 400+.
  13. anything thats natural looking.
  14. link doesn't work. looks like it got filtered by the forum.
  15. i haven't used them before (so i'm not defending them, in fact, i actually think they're pretty gimmicky), but how can a soft plastic suck that bad?
  16. and just so you know, there is a difference between sealant and a top coat. sealant goes UNDER your paint to protect the actual wood should the top coat be breached. the top coat goes OVER the paint to protect the paint and the whole lure.
  17. thanks guys. i caught it out of jameson lake. i've caught several 4lbers out of here, and my dad caught a 5.5lber last year, and he's also got one or two 4lbers from here. it definitely produces the biggest bass out of all the ponds i've fished. i didn't measure the fish, i wish i did, i only weighed it. it wasn't a very long fish though, i'd say somewhere around 21 or 22 inches.
  18. i'm gonna say 11lb 6oz. but i'm more curious about the lure!
  19. hopefully i'll have some fish worth taking pictures of by then!
  20. rig it however you want, it is one epic little bait.
  21. when i'm fishing a weightless senko (which is a lot in the summer) the strikes are almost always a series of small taps followed by my line moving off in one direction. ALWAYS reel up ALL of the slack, leaving some slack to penetrate the plastic better sounds like a good way to miss fish if you ask me. you were probably just running into debris on the bottom or something, sometimes grass can put up resistance that feels like a fish that has taken your bait on slack line.
  22. thanks! we're taking the boat back to that lake after easter dinner can't wait. my dad caught a 5lb 8oz bass there last year after easter dinner.
