  1. haha nice thread title. oh and by the way congrats on the marriage and stuff
  2. i think most people on here will tell you to replace the hook instead of sharpening it. sharpening hooks will lead to corrosion.
  3. 5" weightless senko or equivalent 4" brush hog, texas rigged with a 1/16oz bullet weight 7" ribbon tail work, texas rigged with a 1/16oz bullet weight shallow crankbaits that dive anywhere from 0 to 6 feet thats just about all you need in ponds
  4. if only there was one in maryland...
  5. lipping bass shouldn't be a problem at all, they don't even thrash when you have them by the lip. pickerel on the other hand, they thrash more when you have them by the lip. i use the berkley digital lip grip great for weighing bass or any big fish. it also doubles as a gripper, i use it to land and hold pickerel while i unhook them, and if they are big enough i will take them off the scale for just a second while i turn it on and then put them back on to weigh them.
  6. if you want a cupped face(like those that come on Pop-R's, where the face is cupped inwards, instead of just half-moon shaped like the one in the above links) a round cutting or grinding bit in a dremel works great.
  7. green pumpkin tru tungsten weights are my favorite.
  8. wow great stuff! you are improving a lot!!! that first bait is awesome.
  9. thanks guys. Sam, i've caught a few bass on a few of my shad and bluegill swimbaits. that would make for a good video decided on UMBC (wanted to go south, but it wouldn't work out with my parents)
  10. saw a few beds yesterday and scared a fish off a bed. it was probably a male looked around 2lbs or so. i don't know if the big females are on the beds yet.
  11. thanks guys. it put up a great fight on my 6'6" MM avid crankbait rod! such a good long fight i was waiting for my crankbait to just fall out of its mouth :-/ i never have good luck keeping pickerels hooked on crankbaits.
  12. colors are just colors and the names are just names. baby bass colored lures look like a baby bass. rainbow trout colored lures look like a rainbow trout. bigger bass eat both rainbow trout and baby bass. they also eat shad. bass will eat just about any color that is available, its more in the action and presentation of the bait than the color.
  13. haha thats awesome. nice fish. you look happy.
  14. when you say sand it with piece of paper do you mean like printer paper?
  15. yup. its all i ever use. i've heard some people use windex, but i've also read from research that the ammonia in it can corrode some of the plated metal parts in the airbrush, so i don't run windex through it. theres always createx airbrush cleaner, but i don't think its necessary when water does the job fine.
  16. pfd is right underneath me as a seat cushion. we always have them on hand but don't usually wear them. nah, he doesn't have an account here, i've told him to cruise around here for info before, i don't think he ever has.
  17. that thing's a chunk!
  18. .dsaavedra. posted a topic in Fishing Reports
pickerel that is.... mighty fat at 3lbs 14oz.: other than this fish, the day sucked.
  19. no need to clean it before you use it... i always just use water to clean mine because i only use water based paint. yeah i wipe the needle down several times while painting with a wet paper towel.
  20. hahaha can't say i've ever been compared to jimmy page before...
  21. yes sir it is i'm surprised how many people from BR recognized it!
  22. add the proper amount of weight and you can make it do what you want. it is really buoyant though, more so than basswood.
