  1. i like the spro top dawg
  2. its not... its just that... yelling. thats mostly why these guys tick me off, that and how all their songs are very preachy and about some kind of personal values.
  3. x2 these guys really get on my nerves.
  4. he may have made it himself, i know he makes a lot of his own baits.
  5. do you have a link to the video? i can't seem to find it.
  6. hmm well thats a good thing!
  7. i used those small little scud hooks with the curved backs. the curved back helps hide the hook. this poses a big problem as you're gonna want a small hook since the fly is pretty small, but you're targeting big fish... how big are the pellets they feed the fish? try and make your fly the same size or a little bigger. i don't know what size the biggest scud hook is but you could try that. you shouldn't have to worry about the hook sinking the fly if you use dry fly dubbing.
  8. use some dry fly dubbing in the right color. make a big ole ball of it right on the middle of the hook. i did this to simulate bread balls for the bluegills that are so used to eating bread that people throw in the local park for ducks and slayed em. except i used rabbit fur dubbing so it would sink super slow like bread.
  9. i didn't make the bodies lol, they're rattlin raps. guess i shouldn't have said i made them, i meant repainted them. and yeah, its the blue stripes that bug the hell out of me. they just look cheesy, and they're not the right color either.
  10. i made these for a friend, he wanted juvenile pumpkinseed, so i gave it a shot. i like the body a lot and it matches the pictures pretty good, but something about the face bugs me. i need to work on that. just doesn't look like pumpkinseed to me, so i call it somekindasunfish.
  11. if you add a second hook to the rear segment, not only will it completely kill the action (the bait is designed and weighted to function with just the front hook, if you add a hook to the tail this added weight will prevent the tail from swinging like it is meant to) but like tommy bass said it will also add stress to the joints which could very well break them. if you must add a second hook, try buying one of those tiny neodymium magnets and super glue that onto the end of the third segment. then take a length of 50lb braid and tie it to the front hook hanger, and tie the other end to another treble hook. stick this treble hook on the rear magnet. the added weight to the rear will most likely kill the action so you may find you want to remove it all, but at least it won't kill the bait like adding a second hook hanger will.
  12. it would almost certainly mess up the action.
  13. this is INCREDIBLY true... SUCH a terrible smell...
  14. you were probably digging up red worms and earthworms. what you're after are nightcrawlers. watering the lawn thoroughly just before dark and then going out after its been dark for about an hour should yield some night crawlers.
  15. nothing new here, but might be worth a look if you like fishing with waterdogs: http://www.***.com/River2Sea_Nest_Raider/descpage-R2SNR.html
  16. i lol'd
  17. thanks. i used these instructions to make them: part 1 part 2 they work good on panfish and small bass.
  18. my favorite way to prepare fish is to put the fillet on a piece of aluminum foil and put lots of lemon juice on it, a little bit of butter, some old bay, seasoned salt, black pepper, and a little bit of rosemary. pretty much any seasoning you like. then wrap the whole thing up in the foil and cook it on the grill until the meat is flaky white. this is my favorite way to cook rockfish and bass.
  19. i've seen a whole lot of gizzard shad clear the water at a local lake just as night is falling. when we would be driving out boat back to the ramp we'd scare them and they'd jump all around out boat. pretty fun.
  20. i used to make some out of foam that worked pretty good on panfish. never made them larger to target bass specifically.
  21. i like my revolution br.
  22. I LOL'D! hahahahahaha that ending was GREAT! ;D
