  2. here is the hook i use...4/0 http://www.***.com/descpage-O5139.html I use as little weight as possible. Usually 1/4 ounce tungsten. Below is an example of the type weights I use. http://www.***.com/descpageTRUTERM-TTBW.html I usually "bounce" it similar to a jig. very effective lure.
  3. as the title suggest. I'm thinking of going and wanted to see if anyone else was???
  4. I fish them anywhere I throw a texas rig. They are very good flipping bait in heavy cover due to its small profile.
  5. We need more details. Primary purpose? Rod power (m, mh)? Most importantly, price point?
  6. Thats what the smallmouth wade is for, what better way to bond then to point at and laugh at whomever takes a spill on the slippy rocks ;D Yeah but I know we have some guys who wouldn't be able to do a wade. I think we need to do a big gigantic tournament and set up some boaters with nonboaters at a big lake or river. count me in!!!
  7. WOW!!!

  16. this is what i use...4/0 http://www.***.com/descpage-O5139.html
  17. no need to worry. If your rod is a MH or H you should be fine for flipping. I personally would recommend 50-65lb braid. This set up should also work well as a froging rod.
  18. here are my choices in order from cheapest to more expensive. St. Croix Mojo MBS70MF Spin Rod 7' Medium St. Croix Avid AVS68MXF (as RW mentioned) St. Croix Xtreme XS70MF Spin Rod 7' Medium
  19. Is the pressure for cats and trout mainly? if so, that is not a high pressure spot for bass. What have you been using that has not been producing the results you hoped for?
  20. I stumbled upon this article in the "fishing articles" section at the top of this page. Great explanations for ACTION and POWER of a rod. Thought it might be of help for those confused about a new rod purchase. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/rod-actions-power.html
