  2. the XCalibur Xr50 Rattle Bait is a great choice, has alot of nice colors and is not as expensive as LC or Jackall.

Hey guys I have heard alot of good things about LC pointers but they are quite expensive. Just wondering if its worth it to spend the cash. Or is there any other affordable jerkbaits that have the same performance.
  4. Lucky Craft Fat BDS Crankbait
  5. I'm in just can't get it until spring cause can't really use it with ice. Haha
  6. trying not to watch shows cause they make me wanna fish more, reading up on fishing and getting beat up by the bait monkey he is making me buy so much
  7. doesn't help that I have a new setup, been so tempted to cast out into the snow and pretend I am fishing. haha, think i am going crazy spring can't come soon enough
  8. What type and brand of line would you guys suggest for cranking at varied depths with small to medium sized crankbaits? Thanks
  9. how heavy are the Tru-Tungsten, can't find the weight anywhere?
  10. curado e with a st. croix crankbait rod . can't wait to use it, stupid ice >
  11. Spro frog and soft plastics pitched around edges
  12. I know how u feel, fishing withdrawal is starting to kick in
  13. BPS rubber net, hooks don't get stuck in it. Take it everytime I go out
  14. Wish I could still be out there, meanwhile I am waiting for the ice to thicken > So jealous of the members down south.
  15. I have a 6'6 version of the that rod and it is done well for me. Have had it for a little over a year of constant fishing and no problems. For me the weight is fine and the guides work great. With the price they are at they do make a good buy, worth looking into
  16. I have a the bass pro shops model that is 10 feet long. Very sturdy boat, that can fit two, great for fishing small ponds. Comes with padded seats and is wired to front and back of boat so motor can go on either end. A little more expensive than the one u are looking at.

Senko: Wacky rigged or texas rigged, reel in slow then pause and allow for sink, that always gets them Shallow Crank: I use Lucky crafts, rapalas, bandit. but most decent brands of shallow cranks would work. Fished with a medium speed constant retrieve. Spro Frog: Fished slow with a occasional pops.
  18. What is the general gear ratio you want for fishing crankbaits? Thanks
  19. Ok I am starting to understand crankbait rods, now does anyone else have any specific rods that they think are suited for cranking. Any imput would help?
  20. But would it make more sense to spend a little bit more money on another setup that would last longer. I don't know, does anyone else have any other setup suggestions?
  21. Why do you want a high speed reel for cranks ? When I said that I wanted something for all purposes. now it makes more sense for me to get something just for cranks so I have changed what I am looking for.
  22. A backpack. We wanted to open it hoping there was a stash of money in it but it was way to slimy and smelled terrible.
  23. Oh and I did look at the crankin sticks on BPS and they do look good and they won't break the bank either.
  24. I have a 6'6 MH rod and a reel that works great for fishing plastics so I am thinking of just upgrading for fishing crankbaits. Because I mainly fish crankbaits and plastics with the occasional frog. So I guess the question is what rod and reel would be best for crankbait fishing?
