Yes.  But only one.

Fellow detector enthusiast here as well.  I've only found nails and soda pop tops and the like.  Nothing special yet.  I have a Minelab CTX-3030 with a couple different coils.

Nice!  I live in an historic town so at some point I figure I'll find some items of interest.

Yes Sir, great hobbie.  Went out last Sunday with my brother and his wife.  We all pulled some nice coins.  always have a great time diggin' up history.

It's a fun hobby!  You don't need to spend a ton of money to get into it.  After lots of reading and research years ago, I bought a Garrett Ace 250 as my first detector; about $250.  I enjoyed it so much, a year or two later, I bought a high-end White's DFX.

I still use the Garrett frequently and it also comes in handy as a loaner when someone wants to try metal detecting or needs a detector to help find a lost ring, etc., in their yard.  If you ask around or visit the metal detecting forums on the 'net, you can probably find someone in your area who will take you out with a loaner detector and show you the ropes.

Tight lines,

Bob

I agree, my sister in law loves the Garrett AT pro and she has found tons with it.

I started with a whites VX3 and then gave it to a friend to introduce him to the hobby.  I got a V3I used it a couple years and gave that to a different friend because he had interest.  then I got a Minelab 3030 which I still use now.  excellent machine.  I also have a equinox800.

Too cold to fish . Tried my luck at a little detecting today . Spent about 20 minutes  before it started raining  but landed a nice one .
