I've given them a fair shake as shaky head worms and they have been extremely unimpressive.

Weightless or on a 1/8oz weight or lighter they are a great sping bait. But I usually don't work the bait too much.

I've used the 4" size quite a bit (3 seasons) on the drop shot successfully. As Russ says, hook them not far from the head when wacky rigging, either on the drop shot or weightless.

Haven't tried the 6.5" model yet, but I'd imagine it's going to be a crackerjack as well!  ;)

Remember one other thing; you can take any 6" - 7" curly tailed (not ribbon tailed) worm and cut it to get a similarly effective profile. Works with the 4" curly tailed worms too, for drop shotting.

I've had to do this several times when they are hitting a certain color; when I don't have the Yama Cutails in that color with me.

Fantastic top water jerk bait - a killer Carolina rigged - last fish caught weighed in at 8.5 pounds.

Many big fish caught on this bait:

You ought to try them out now they are killer on a dropshot rig this time of year.

+1; I have had a good amount of success on a drop shot as well.

Definitely a favorite of mine. I fish them T-rigged,

unpegged; on a split shot rig; Evolution Shake2;

weightless and on a drop shot rig.

Never had much luck on them personally? Actually it is the only Yamamoto bait that I do not like ?

I've done well with this bait on a Mojo Rig with a 3/16 oz sinker.

Oh my,my,my.......I just started using the larger (5.75" and 6.5") on shakey and t-rig respectivly, and I cannot say enough about them.  I had used the 4&5" on my dropshot rig for a couple of years and on a whim, picked up a pack of the 5.75" purple brown laminate.  Almost won the next tx I fished with them!! Like ringing the dinner bell on a shakey!!
