Lol no that's crazy though.  Saw a guy out there kayak fishing too, surrounded by strong current, choppy seas and hundreds of fishing boats... no thanks!  People can get pretty ballsy out there for how rough that area can get.

It's the deep-v tracker but that's not the smartest thing to do in those waters.   I'll let ya know if I see him in the tuna grounds!!!  ?

Finally got my goal bass, I’ve been hunting this fish for years. Countless hours and heart breaks.  I started out waking up at 430 am, feeling like crap, mixture of expired cheese and a couple of be

I see your trolling.  Catch any?

Went out fishing the past three mornings and afternoons, over 150 bass for me and 50 for my dad, it's been amazing! Biggest went 2.7. Wish I could live here! Also, 12-15" average

At the Quabbin?  Bite was relatively tough last time I was out (Sunday) .. they weren't very aggressive, lots of sluggish fish sitting on the bottom.   I'm going out again this Sunday, should whack em better I think...   What and where are you guys fishing?  I've yet to have a 50 fish day there (although I've come fairly close) and I've never had a day where I haven't caught one at least 3lbs ... Interested to hear how you've caught 200 fish in 3 days out there between the two of you and haven't broken the 3lb mark yet.

caught a handful of dinks and a 5.5lber yesterday!!

smoked a chartreuse 9inch slammer, twitched near some bog pumps.

Has anyone been fishing Lake Cochituate lately?

I've honestly never done well at Cotichuate, not sure what everyone else's opinion is here? Last time I fished it was ice out from shore with a hudd 68.

Nice! I placed an order for a 9" light trout. Can't wait!

X2

I've got Monday & Tuesday off. Anyone up for a trip to Quabbin?

I've been doing fairly well in the 10-15ft zone. The bite windows have been typical for a full moon. By mid morning they are sitting on the bottom. Hit a nice top water bite last nite just before 9 got two 2.5lb smallies trying out my new megabass popmax. I've had some followers on the rago inline trout come right up to the boat but nothing committing. The 4.3 - 4.8 Keitech fat impact on a 1/2 oz dirty jigs swimbait head has been awesome. 2-3lb have been very consistent but nothing at 4 or larger. I can't complain 2-3lb smallies are fun as hell.

TW just had their 4th of July sale. Was able to get the new whopper plopper 110 and some of the heavier chatterbaits.

I'll be hitting Highland lake in Norfolk after work today. Going to peg a 1/2oz weight to a Rage Bug and attack the water chestnut pads. First time I've encountered them was this year.Going to learn how fish that vegetation if it kills me lol. Hopefully I'll get to see what the Daiwa Tatula rod has the backbone legends are made of.Frogging over this stuff had proved useless so far.I finally played with the Spro rat 30 too.Man that thing looks awesome in the water.

I've been slumping a bit lately so decided to switch some gear around. Took the CT off the Mojo jig rod and put it on the Tatula frog/pitching rod where it belongs.Took off the Yo-Zuri and put the 832 on it.Took the "grey reel" off the Tatula and put it on the Mojo and spoiled it up with 13# Defier Armilo.Tied the Spro 30 rat on the Mojo and pegged a 1/2oz weight to the Rage Bug. Landed 4 fish in the 2# range in 30 minutes. 2 on each rod.I guess change is good sometimes.Ill be keeping them setup this way for a while I think.

It's a fairly heavy bait if you can handle the 8" hudd rof 12 you will love it.

As a matter of fact, this showed up in the mail today

Along with this because my other rod isn't up to the task, now I just need a reel (I've pretty much already decided on the Lexa300H but I want to try and find a deal). I don't plan on using this until I get back to Mass. If I can't figure out the fish on normal jigs and worms I don't think it's worth my time to go chucking hudds at them in 90 degree VA chocolate milk.

I'll write this whole setup off as an early birthday present to myself. And in hindsight this statement usually doesn't hold up but I think once I get this setup up and running with a few baits I won't be buying much gear for a while.

Tom and I have been at the Quabbin since opening bell. It's just about noon and he's got me 11  to 0.  Make that 12... I'm done for the day.

....13....

Final tally: Tom 20 +\-, Dogbone 1.

A least I didn't get shut out.

How is that possible?!  I typically out-fish my buddy but not that bad... if I put him on a good spot he generally catches a few?  Dropshot is still my top producer out there.. although recently I've been playing around with a whole assortment of techniques.  You guys launch for gate 43 or 31?
