You took a 7.5 out of Houghton's !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

On a side note, I took my 4-11 PB LMB out of Blue Hills Res just after ice out in 2016.

A year prior on Easter Sunday a few weeks after ice out I got my then 5 1/4. I love fishing after ice out and September/October.

A 4-11 on Blue Hills Res is a trophy for sure! I can honestly say that of the handful of times I fished there I got skunked every single time. My hat's off to you! :)

Finally got my goal bass, I’ve been hunting this fish for years. Countless hours and heart breaks.  I started out waking up at 430 am, feeling like crap, mixture of expired cheese and a couple of be

OK, the dim light just went on.  Hope to see you there again this Spring.  I'll be there late this month and early April.

Absolutely I’ll be there. Let me know if you’d like to meet up. I can take you to some very discreet private ponds I have access to.

It was a surprise for sure.  It was in the reeds by the walking path/retaining wall.  I threw a black/blue chigger-craw and whump.....  I spoke to some divers who were surveying the pond for the state and they said there were some big bass in there.  They were right.

It's amazing @DogBone_384 that these little ponds hold big fish.

I hope to meet up with the active anglers on this thread at some point. I'll be looking into a Kayak soon and would love to get out with ya all.

Until then, have a great season fellas.

I've got two FeelFree Lure 11.5s I'd love to share and have an open work schedule.  If you're around, I can meet you.

Ponkie and Canton Reservoir are my 'home' ponds.  Come spring, I burn a ton of gas going to and from Plymouth, fishing for smallmouth.

I'd like to plan a camping/fishing trip in Nickerson State Park this Spring/Summer with as many members as possible.  Cliff, Little Cliff, and Flax ponds are in the park.  I'd be a great, low cost couple days of good fishing and socializing.

Canton Res is about 2 miles from me and Ponkie is maybe 5, so either one works. Would love to meet up. Weekdays are best, once my son's baseball schedule starts up, weekends are gone til late July.

We'll keep in touch, I don't spend a lot of time on this site, but will peek in from time to time on this thread. I'll PM you my cell

That works for me.  I work 24 hour shifts so when I'm not working at FD or my second job, I'm available during the week.

15" of snow, 41*...C'mon Spring!

So with the snow and frigid overnight temps we're gonna be in a winter pattern for a few more weeks, I've decided to try my hand a making soft plastic baits. I'm hoping to make a mold for a swim senko. Hope to give it a go this weekend. I maybe looking for a field tester or 2. Will post the mold next week.

I'm going to steelhead country in 1.5 weeks, cant focus on anything else right now. Great way to start the season. A 10lb rainbow trout aka steelhead will surely do the trick.

Well I was hoping for an early spring but I'll be hitting the hard water for the next 2-3 weekends at least looking at the forecast. Got on A1 with my father yesterday 12-5pm. Lots of pickerel to start the day, very fat ones too. Around 4pm the bass finally decided to eat. Got a 2.66, 2.88, and a 3.74 on tip-ups along with a dink. The weather was quite strange. No wind and 40° for most of the day and when the sun came out it was HOT! Like, "I haven't felt that warm outside since September" hot. Something about the angle and it reflecting off the snow I guess. Usually wearing all black works out but I was down to my base layers at one point because I couldn't take it. Later in the day as the clouds started to build the wind kicked on like a switch and I had to put everything back on. But that's when the bass started hitting. Overall the best day I've had this season on the ice, which isn't saying much honestly, this has been a terrible ice season for me.

Hopefully this is the end of the cold weather. After today our 10 day forecast shows a slow and steady ascent towards the mid-50*'s. Hopefully we can get the ice melted and get into some cruising prespawners.

Saw open water and guys ice fishing today down in Plymouth area

The wife's working tomorrow.  I might take a ride south, to the Cape, perhaps, to see what's what.

Going on Jiggy's comments, there was 1/2 - 3/4" of ice on most of Snake Pond in Sandwch when I launched there a couple weeks ago.  Five hours later it was open.  Air temps were in the high 30's -low 40's with bright sun that day.

Everyone cross your rod tips and hope for a quick melt.

Another good day on the hard stuff. March is really turning around the bad luck and the bass are starting to chow down. Landed one juuuuuuuuust short of 4 (3.99 lol) and a few other decent ones along with plenty of pickerel. We were out for about 7 hours and got off just before dark. I was able to get some great pictures of the sunset. Hopefully not the end of the season. I'm hoping to get out a couple more times this week before Friday (I doubt many places will be able to survive 60's and raining). 53343533_403260360437730_4319681826311372800_n.thumb.jpg.2cadc24deb90a064813ad6f8f312161f.jpg

Friday is forecasted to be 60* and rain, should open up a lot of water.

@Mr. Aquarium, good luck on the steelheads

I'm just worried it will dirty the water
