Between these two only. Since the premier is the same price for now. I was debating on getting one or just stick with the patriarch. Just wanting to get some pro and cons on the premier.

I own a 2009 premier. I love that reel after I upgraded the drag with carbentex washers. It is super light and paired with a Powell max rod, it is deadly

I love the patriarch, I have had the regular and the xt, both are awesome reels.

I have three Premiers and they are the nicest reels I have ever owned. Extremely smooth and lightweight.

Both being Pure Fishing products the basic engineering is identical. The Revo will probably have better resale value down the road just due to name recognition.

I absolutely love my Premier, i have no comment on the Patriarch since i have never used one or held one. But i can tell you that if you get the Premier, you wont be dissapointed.

That would not be a selling point for me... I've never had a revo reels paint chip or anything on me... Some scratches add character and are not detrimental in helping me land a fish..

In my experience your 100% correct. (although Im going on the finish of other revos, not the premier FWIW). The patriarch's finish has held up well.

I've also read plenty about the Premier's finish not holding up. Same can be said for some of the TD-Z reels. Didn't stop me from buying them, and wouldn't stop me from buying a Premier. A scratch may not affect a reel's performance, but I like to keep my gear looking new. Love my XT and wish they hadn't dropped them. My choice would be the XT every time over the Premier since they are basically the same reel...just because of the better finish. Plus I do like the XT's looks better! Yes I know a reel's looks doesn't affect its performance.

I would take the Premier over the Patriarch any day. The reel is super light and smooth and has an incredible drag system as well. Even though both reels come from the same factory the Revo is made with higher quality components, in my opinion.
