I have been having luck earlier in the season since all this heat the fishing has slowed down a lot.

I usually use a watermelon color senko when the water is clear and red shad color when the water is murkier. I caught one today on the red shad color wacky rigged. Senkos are my favorite soft plastics to use

actually, senkos are one of my least producers. Trick worms are much better in my opinion.

Yeah they are starting to become my favorite as well! I will try that red shad color because I have been fishing some muddy water from this drought! Thanks! and I agree, loving that wacky rig.

I have a lot of luck with trick worms too! I have just now started using Senkos though, and they are producing! It all just comes down to the tecnique and the lake you are fishing!

Lets see, how have the Senkos been producing in S.florida. Last Thursday night tournament results for me.

2nd biggest fish caught, 6 pounds even. 7 ounces shy of big fish. Finished in 4th out of 27 boats. All fish caught on Black/blue flake Senko.

Thursday night tournament two weeks ago. Finished 2nd out of 25 boats and had big fish. All fish caught on Senkos.

I only fish GY Senkos, NO knock offs.

Secret: I've also been getting'em on white with some sort of light colored flake at night.

My partner, Mr. Mallard, was killin' 'em on a weightless wacky rig yesterday.

We were about 10' of water and most of the strikes occurred on the initial

fall. He had a little issue with hook-ups, but I think his hook was defective.

Have any of you tried the "Limited Edition" Magic colors in the GY? That Watermelon Red Magic looked pretty tempting but I kept the monkey off my back for once and didn't purchase it.

Almost every bass I've caught in the last 3 yrs. were on a senko. The red would never produce, not a bite, but the pumpkin would do real good. A couple weeks ago I couldn't get a bite on my favorite pumpkin senko so I pulled out a red one and caught 3 on 3 casts. :Idontknow:

I have been catching them on wacky rigged zoom centipedes. Senko's are great, but wacky rig just about anything and you'll get bites it seems.

I caught a little 7" on a 5" senko... They work

I love to creek and small river wade fish with smaller Senkos, Texas rig em since it is way too rocky to wacky style. Color based upon the color of the water, the depth and amount of recent rainfall we have seen.

I fish a lake with a lot of vegetation also, but I never lose my senko! I use a circle hook on my wacky rigs, maybe that will help!
