When y'all throw a swim jig like a 1/4 oz size, what trailer do you use? I like the rage tail grubs but they are fairly large even on my 3/8 oz jigs. I am looking for something to match more evenly size wise with my small 1/4 oz jigs.

Have you tried a baby rage craw or the new twin tail menace, they are both very compact.

I like a single tailed grub like a Kalin's or Berkley, but I've used a paddletail on both my swim jigs and umbrella rigs.

Rig the Menance with the tail vertical. I think you will like it a lot!

the Rage Tail Single Tail Grub.

I tend to use the same ones that I use when fishing on the bottom.

In theory the bottom is about "bugs", crawdads and creature baits.

Swim jigs immitate baitfish.

3" Berkley Ripple Shad. Great compact presentation for clear water.

In addition to the others mentioned above, I like the Keitech Fat Swing imapct. It's a paddle tail and comes in several different sizes, smallest (going from memory here) is a little less than 2" all the way up to 5", so you can find a small one for a small jig. The paddle tail kicks real well at a slow retrieve. ONly drawback is they are soft, so I superglue mine to the jig.

I use Baby Paca Craws pretty often myself. Very realistic, and they have a scent.

Gene Larew Long John Minnow and other small paddle tails. There were some new ones at Icast that look good. The Alabama Rig has been good for those who like small paddle tails.

my next child will be named twin tail menace lol. I use them almost exclusively with my larger swim jigs. Baby rage craws up to the lobsters are in the boat as well.

I was actually thinking about a 3" Berkley Powerbait Minnow, not so much for the finesse aspect of them, but for a little more speed.

I have a bunch of the 3 and 4 inch minnows that I use. Results are really good.

I was using them the other day and used a stop and go retrieve along the bottom...great action on the and a great time!

Sorry for the confusion, I used them on a spinnerbait, that's what made me think of swim jig.
