What experience have you had with these?  Are they any good?  I got one for my birthday, and I really have no idea.  Looks good though.  Kinda like one of my favorites...the Norman Quarterback.

I can't say it any better than that , this lure has caught me 100's of fish over the years and is a classic for good reason.

They are a great shallow runner as noted above but I HATE the way the two hooks can hook each other and get tangled.  Other than that I like them.

True it is a swallow water lure but have brought bass up from the depths with it. Radical side to side action and rattles that will get their attention. I have used it in 15 foot of water with submerged weeds and caught fish. One of the best casting crankbaits for distance I ever used, they cast like a rocket. Baby Bass and Red Craw are great colors.

I laid 4 coats of gloss black and a few clear coats on my 1 Minus. It's going to be a night time killer. I figure it will slay 'em like the Jitterbug.

Excellent bass lure in my opinion, I don't know how many bass I have caught using it in a shad pattern.  One of the former Lake Fork guides and BASS fisherman turned me on to them.

I use the Baby 1- and the Bomber Square A for my shallow cranking. Both are very productive baits. I use bluegill colors primarily.

I must be honest...I never had luck with this bait.

i broke mine b4 i even had the chance to get 30 casts in  > slammed the d@mn thing into a cenemt wall!

i havent noticed any difference. im not the only one that does this either... ive heard pros talk about doing it too. bass that are up as shallow as the 1minus is fished rarely pussyfoot around with it. i get good hard hits and just as many hook ups as any other crank.

when i first started doing it i only cut the front trebles forward facing hook for fear of missing strikes. it worked great.

now i just do both and dedicate that lure to "heavy cover'.

amazing bait had a lot of luck in baby bass

Love this crankbait in shallow water or any water when bass are chasing shad.  I like to fish it over tree tops in 20+ feet of water in the Fall when the LM's are really running shad, they come up and slam it.  I like the ghost shad color.

I have VERY good luck with this lure actually during the spawn on bedding bass. You just have to use it in the right circumstances. For example, many of the lakes I fish have a high bluegill population and the bass here really have to chase them away from there beds. So if i find a bedding bass and there are bluegill within five to ten feet of the bed, and the bass is positioned towards those bluegill, chances are if you run the crankbait through his bed it's going to cause a reaction strike. You just need to kind of catch them off guard. I hope that sort of made sense its hard to explain.
