Does anyone remember the Mann's 6" Jelly Worm? What colors did you use? How did you rig them?

I still use them. I've had the best luck with the 8" blueberry and the 12" strawberry.

What I like best about them is your hands don't smell like week old buzzard puke after handling them.

These were texas rigged on a 4/0 and 6/0 Owner twist lock.

with a 6 to 8 inch worm, i tend to just use a 2/0 hook. i have noticed that many use a much bigger hook than i do. just from my on personal experience, the smaller hook you can get away with the better action your worm has, and the more strikes you get. a 12 inch worm with some diameter to it, i will typically use a 4/0. as for the colors of 6 inch jelly worms that i used. i used black grape probably more than the rest.

I have caught more bass on a 6 inch Jelly Worm than any other lure. Black Grape is my favorite color. I use to buy them in the 100 packs. Also liked Blueberry and Motor Oil. I Texas rigged then exclusively usually with a 3/16th ounce weight and 2.0 Eagle Claw 95JB. Used a 5.5 foot heavy action rod , 14 lb Stren and crossed their eyes Roland martin style.

Academy has these on clearance right now cheap. 8s and 10s though.

Mann's still sells their jelly worm and augertail on their website--they are going to make special run on junebug and green pumpkin--ordred a 100 count bag of both today in 6" today---INMO still best worms going

Blackberry 8" jellyworm is about the only worm my dad uses and it still catches a ton of fish today. 1/4oz bullet weight and a 4/0 wide gap hook is how I rig them. They're one bait that I probably don't use enough honestly. I've got some 12" blackberry and they're a good bait to get a big bite.

I do remember and when I saw that on BPS catalog, it brought back the memories...I meant to get some but haven't gotten to it yet. I used to like the purple one. Put some Smucker's to entice more bites, jk
