Got Me A New Pr........

Featured Replies

Well today couldnt have gone any better. I was supposed to take one of my friend girls fishing out of Hwy 27 for the first time but she stood me up for shopping lol. So when that happened I went over to old Basspro and picked up the (I think) new SwimSenkos...And instead of just calling it a day I traveled up north to the BOCA area to one of the canals ive had some luck at before. Well let me tell you this those senkos are amazing.. The bass were smashing them left and right I caught about 15 and this lovely lady was the last one. When she hit it looked liked someone dumped a bathtub in the water lol... My old PR was 7lbs but I know she bested by a good shot... Im 6'2 185 lbs so you guys tell me what you think she weighs... I didnt want to be selfish and keep her just to see so I let her go so we can hopefully hook up in the future....

First of all congrats on your PR. That is a great fish. It is difficult to say. Did you measure him? You can always cut a piece of line and do so in the abscence of having a tape.

Well you asked. If I had to guess, I would guess 8lbs and I base this on you saying it was absolutely larger than 7 that was your former PB. I'm looking at the body of the fish in comparison with the length of your fingers. Unless you have particularly long fingers, it looks like a solid 8 or so fish. If you told me it weighed 9 lbs, well, I wouldn't be super suprised, just guessing if I had to at 8. If you told me that it weighed 10, well I would be suprised.

Again congrats. Love it when the ladies decide to go shopping. Ha

Nice fish, congrats on your personal best!

If I had to guess on the weight, Id say it was a solid 8 - 9. Heres a tip on how to figure out the weight of your fish without a scale. Cut a piece of line, and get an overall measurement, then cut it at whatever length your fish is, then get the girth of the fish and tie a knot into the line to keep track of the girth. When you get home, measure the length and width, then calculate as follows- " length x length x girth and divide by 1200" , that will give a near exact weight on your fish. I was sceptical on its accuracy at first, but I have compared it to a certified scale and it was dead on.

nice bass. its definately over 8 lbs. As far as the lady friend goes, asking a girl to go fishing isnt the best way to ask for a date. lol. My wife will only go with me if its going to be bluebird skies so she can lay out and tan on the back.

Would be the fish of a lifetime for alot of us,awesome .8-9 lbs would be my guess too.It would be 9 if it was mine lol.
